Greetings to all! I am posting lots of Pictures for your to enjoy viewing, Not sure if La Casa De Habano re-released some more boxes from the 2010 release or are these a new Release? The Box Date Stamp is Jun12. Recently I received this box of La Gloria Cubana Inmensos and I am curious of everybody's opinion on them. They have an amazing aroma, look, & feel great. I've smoked 2 from my box of 10 and feel that they are way too young to evaluate. Lot's of floral aroma predominates the palate and I hope this subsides with age. Proud Member of Habanos Brothers

Wow, Jun 2012...Thats a YOUNG box. I didn't even know they still made the Inmensos. I guess they do!

Yes it is a Young box, I'm going to age them for awhile, when I look very close, some of the cigars have a very very light dust of plumbe on them? I am thinking that maybe they were from the 2010 cigars, and re-released recently in small batches? Any ideas?

Doubtful, but you never know.

Shlomo, thanks for the reply, do you think that these are authentic? I did notice that the Habanos wax insert is the newer version only found on the most recent released cigar boxes (you can see it in the link "Cigars shown here:"). The bands are not loose at all, and the packaging and appearance of the cigars seems to be correct.

Not sure what's going on here. My vendor has them for sale right now, and I was planning to order a box. I'll contact him tomorrow and ask him about the date code. These were obviously a 2010 LCDH Exclusive, I see no other year in which the Inmensos were made, so I'm not sure why you would have an outer box with a date of 2012, unless Cuba made a boo-boo and got slap happy with the 2012 date stickers. You have my spidey sense on alert. A mystery that cries out to be solved. I'll post what I find out tomorrow. Regards RLBARN

Nice photos, by the way.

2010 LCDH Exclusive just means that they were released in 2010 for the first time. Kind of like the Royal Robustos with a 2011 release, but there are 2012 boxes. It is not a yearly limited.

Thanks for the information, sounds good to me.
Glad you like the photos, I wish could fast forward a couple of years and light one up right now, but I am forcing myself to wait to age them for 2-4 years for 1/2 the box, and 5-10 years for the 2nd half. Patience will be rewarded.

I sent an email to my source and here was their response: "In response to your inquiry, I confirm that the cigars were produced in 2010, but only boxed in 2012, thus the boxcode stamped beneath the box. They produced 50,000 sticks of Inmensos (5,000 boxes) released as from 2010 from 2010 harvests. This is the usual scenario for exclusive releases such as EL's and RE's..." Hopefully this makes sense to everyone. Is there any other way of verifying that this is true? . .

the cigars are real, there is no counterfeiter out there making fakes of LGC Immensos, I can promise you that. The cigar is not nearly popular enough for the cigar to be faked.

My source (I e-mailed him this morning) said the same thing. Word for word, by the way. So I can at least confirm that our source is one and the same. I think you are good. Not sure why they wouldn't box all the 2010 stuff up in 2010. I would think they could make more money selling 2010 cigars in 2012 by boxing them with a 2010 box code. It seems a little strange to me, but I am only beginning to learn how Cuba works. Let us know how they are, since you now know for sure (?) that they have at least 2 years age on them.

Since the Bolivar GM release, Habanos have said that the LCDH editions are limited to 5,000 boxes. I don't know about that really. The boxes are never numbered. Although recently discontinued, there are still a lot of boxes of the Gold Medals about. I know a lot of people with a lot of boxes of them. Stills lots of Inmensos, Upmann Noellas, RA Superiores and Royal Robustos about too. As for your 2012 box, I don't know your retailer but you're probably fine. There is often a problem with box supply (the Inmensos are in a one-off box shape and size), bands, ink, etc. I know that the green ink for the LFDC Short Robusto boxes arrived into Cuba in the luggage of a festival attendee last year for example. The boxes are only stamped as they leave the factory. It is possible that the cigars were rolled 18 months ago and only boxed recently. Unlikely, but possible. They were probably rolled more recently. "If it was raining soup, the Irish would go out with forks." Brendan Behan
