I have been considering picking up a box of Magnum 46's. What is everyone's experience with them?

They seem to be thought highly of by most folks, but never did much for me. Prefer the SLR Serie A by far.

I like them. I got a box of BVD Jun 04 back in November. They were good right out of the box and have oiled up nicely since then. Flavor profile is earthy, coffee, moacha, toast. Somewhere between a Montecristo and a Vega Robina, to my palette. Good after dinner smoke or with a dark beer or whiskey. If you like MC2 or Eddy, expect this to be similar but earthier.

O Man,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try a box of the Mag 46's. I have heard many good things about them. Corona Gordas are a favorite of mine.

On another note, you mentioned the Vegas Robaina's. What do you think of the Unicos? I may pick up a few single sticks to sample.

bb12...I've only had a few Unicos but have had mixed experience. Last one I had did nothing for me and was lighter tasting than MC2. It was a good source, too. I have some vintage ('98) VR Famosas that are kick azz. VR does take time to show its best according to most prognasticators.

Hey...ya ever wake in the morning with those Statesboro blues? Cool

O Man ........... It's hard to enjoy life and not wake up in the morning with the "Statesboro Blues".

I'll infer that you are familiar with the Allman Brothers and yes, it is the town in the song.

I have a box of 02 Unicos that are incedibly tastey. My second favorite torpedo, after the MC2.

MC2's are my main stay torpedo. For variety, I wanted to try the Unicos. Something different.
