Show your hand. Let's give 3 names: Winner, Dark-horse who could win it, and Player I'd like to see win it. One rule - YOU CAN'T PICK TIGER. Everyone knows he's the favorite.
Winner - Paul Casey.
Dark Horse - David Toms: He has played well all year and had several top-5's. I don't think he drives the ball long enough for the course, but he's solid.
I'd like to see - Kenny Perry. After the loss in Augusta, I'd like to see him bounce back.

excerpt from NYT 1PM..........It was Cabrera, though, who steadied himself while Woods and Harrington struggled.
Harrington fell to four-over par by the fifth hole, where Woods made double-bogey after missing the fairway with his drive, hitting into a bunker and missing a 15-foot putt for bogey. That put him at two over.
the sole reason i picked retief goosen is he seems to go the opposite of everyone else in these big tournaments
like at usOpen Shin Hills 7th hole par three he seemed the only one to solve that unplayable green and when weather goes really bad he goes really good
that's the way it seems to me anyhow
frankD
PS rocco made some noise about liking his chances but, and i have met and like rocco, i think he is done against bethpage one exception - if the crowd really gets behind him he may play above his capability
"jim's stogies" a cigar shop on main street near farmingdale's long island rail road station owner jim bueche says "i'm just here to work and enjoy" sounds like a mench !
i really feel sorry for those guys that just missed it
i would rather crash and flame out like barnes than miss it by a single stroke
i wish the TV coverage had emphasized the course elevation changes more - with all this technology we should be learning more about the course and why it is so difficult
a lot of young guys previously unheard of have great stories now
I attended Sunday's round with csmithnj...camped out on 17th hole and saw most of the guys come through (Tiger's chip in, Barnes' birdie), then went to the 4th fairway for the 4th round until Tiger came through, and caught the leaders finishing the 1st hole...beautuful golf course, quite hilly...pathways were a mud pit (I wore boots)...some girls wore flip flops (and short shorts )...many cigar smokers...saw a guy selling "Cuban" Montecristos out of a glass topped box, and had a box of Cohiba Esplinedos for $20...box looked real, cigars did not...guy sitting next to me bought one...no triple cap, burned like a poorly rolled spliff...I didn't want to burst his bubble so didn't say anythng, but he knew it was a fake when he bought it. Think he just wanted a big cigar. I smoked a Hemingway ShortStory, a PSP4 and a RyJ Churchill. Good time. This was the fourth major I've attended. May go to Merion in 2013.
The risk of kicking butt is you get some crap on your shoe
Very cool that you were able to attend; how dark was it when they quit on Sunday? I remember playing after sundown as a kid-- that's when you really learn to feel where its going off the clubface!
