Well I don't golf but I fish and I think the same type of cigars can be considered golf or fishing cigars.
When fishing I like Sancho Panza. The double maduro Escudaro is very nice for fishing. Always a good burn and draw which is important if it's a bit windy out in the open.
I also like to have a Flor D Oliva or a Quarum. Both very nice bundled cigars.

It depends on the conditions, price of the course, and company--usually I like an early round anywhere from 30-60 bucks, and a mild churchill.

If it is just a few good friends I'll bring some CAO Golds, but if it's a larger outing 5 Vegas Golds, or Flor de Olivia Golds

(also depending on how bad I think I'm going to play I'll stow away a La Gloria Cubano Serie R for the club house)

I like a larger and more mild than norm on the links, like say a DBL chateau sun grown.

Flor De Oliva Churchhill. You don't have to put much thought into this smoke and it lasts forever.

I like to have a good inexpensive smoke like a Padron 3000 or 4000. You can toss it down and not have to think to be delicate with it. I save a top shelf or a CC for when I have time to think about the smoke and enjoy it, not while concentrating on golf. I have even bought Flor de Oliva for a golf trip last year so I could hand them out to whoever wanted one.

RP Vintage 1990 Churchill "2nds" work for me.
The trunk press is convenient as you can place the cigar down and not have it roll around.

I played my first 18 since returning from Iraq last month. Enjoyed a nice Padron 6000 while finishing the back 9. I think I'll make this my go-to Golf stick.

Welcome home malcolmp, and thanks for your service.

For on-course smokes, I typically bring robusto or toro sized sticks, something like a CAO Gol!, or Gran Habano Corojo's. I like something that will last around 4 holes. It's dry and sometimes windy here in Colorado, so the wrapper on bigger cigars seem to fall apart before I can finish them.
