I don't really like either one. The only time I will cheer for them is during the Ryder Cup play. I'm a fan of Couples and Elkington.

Both are fun to watch...
But i'll go with Phil.....Why? he is more of an "underdog" and that riverboat gambler stuff he does on the course is interesting....

If Tiger is in the lead you tune in to watch him close it out....

If Phils in the lead you tune in to watch him win or choke badly....

I'm a Phil fan. I wish he could just hit a few more fairways with any driver - he would then be a top 10 each week he plays.

But.... if you ask about the Match Play this week??? I'll take Tiger. I don't like Tigers personality - but I can not agrue his talent and will to get it done. He is the best -period.

I take Tiger over Phil any day, and five times on Sundays! To me, its about winning. Tiger is the best golfer of our time, maybe of all time. Talent, guts, and toughness. Plus, he's genuine, what you see is what you get. You may not like him, but he's not pretending to be anything other than what he is; driven, focussed, honest.

I find Phil to be a choker and a phony. Lately, he's showing himself to be a whiner. Just my take. I like it when he plays well and challenges Tiger. Too bad it doesn't happen too often.

I look to the young guns on the tour to push Tiger in the future; Anthony Kim, Rory McIlroy, Andres Romero, Camilo Villegas. These guys have no fear, and they have game. Only Vijay challenged Tiger's reign for any length of time in the past 10 years, becoming ranked #1 for a few months. Duval folded massively, Love and Els have folded less embarrasingly, but folded all the same. Sergio has still to step up to fold. Phil looked like a real challenger for a little while but hasn't been the same golfer since Wingfoot. We'll see if Harrington was a single season wonder or not. I hope not, but he's playing like shyte right now.

I'd rather see Rocco or Boo or AK than either. Phil & Tiger are the Lexus of the PGA, clearly the best, but void of any soul.

I'd have to go with Phil. He's a class act and fun to watch.

Tiger is obviously the best golfer but IMO he lacks sportsmanship and doesn't always handle himself in a proper manner.

What do either of you base these statements off of?

If you've ever been to a tournament and followed Tiger you'd probably notice how he reacts when he makes a poor shot. He basically throws a tantrum. It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough for me to prefer phil. Here's a youtube video of what I'm talking about... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHSzxWBgoa8

I've seen both of them up close. I was at the Masters and saw Tiger play directly after This happened. And yes, he was mad. But he still was polite to fans, and and pleasant as you can be when you're losing a major tournament.

So he gets mad when he messes up. Big deal. I'd get mad too, especially if my livelihood depended on it. I don't think that makes him a poor sport. I've never heard him mouth another player or take it out on a fan.

Tiger is more popular in the locker room than Phil, that should say something. The big azzhole on tour is Sergio.

Tiger gets upset when photogs click their shutters during his backswing. He is right to do so. You see it happen all the time because the hive is always swarming around him. He is the King Bee of the tour, afterall.

I don't dislike Phil, I just prefer Tiger's honesty to Phil's contrivance.

Of the young guns, I like AK. Of the other thirtysomethings, I like Ernie and Padrig. This Rory McIlroy kid can also be something special. Never really liked Vijay, but have always respected him.

I guess O Man puts in a better iteration of my point; I don't dislike Phil at all. I was pleased to see him finally get a Big Win at the Masters in 04. I just think it's REALLY unfair and out of line to say that Tiger is somehow a bad sport for perfectly natural reactions.
