Hello, A novice smoker here who loves to play golf. I have picked up cigar smoking to replace my cigarette habit for the time on the golf course and would like some suggestions on which smoke I should choose. I have tried many cigars (one's that the smoke shop guy recommends) and am now interested in saving some money and buying a box. I would like to buy a box of 25 for 150 and under on the internet. Please keep in mind, I will be smoking most of these on the golf course in the afternoon/later afternoon time. Please help me love cigars as much as I love golf. So for all you golf fanatics which cigar do you choose and why? Thanks!!
Well if you ordering off the Net your $150 can go a long way. Why don't you describe some of the tastes you like and what you have alreay smoked and we will be able to point you in the right direction.

I agree, I also play golf and smokes cigars when I play. I will say that I typically don;t bring my best smokes on the course becuase I'm usually focusing on my golf game and not the cigar.
My personal preference is for a mid price range medium bodied smoke that will last a few holes.
Try these:
Padron 4000 La flor Dominicana L-400 HDM Presidente La Gloria Cubana Serie R #7 Carlos Torano 1916 Torpedo
As I drink more on the course or afterwards I will move towards fuller bodied smokes.
Another point is if you are trying to impress your golf partners? It's stupid, but when I take out potential clients, I will always bring and offer up Cubans (cheaper cubans unless they know what they are doing).

The cigars that I have tried were a couple different cohibas, romeo y julieta, and bolivar. I want to bring out decent cigars, not to impress anybody, but to enjoy the cigar along with some friends. I play golf pretty well so I don't concentrate that much on it. I just dont want to be spending 10 dollars a pop for the romeo y julieta. (which i prefer over the 3) Thanks for your inputs..
I definitely agree with the previous post about not taking your best smokes with you. I've been known to forget to pick up cigars after shots or i'll sometimes step on them when i'm around the green. That said, the longer the cigar the better it is on the golf course--at least thats my opinion.

I used to bring lesser cigars on the golf course, but no more. My cigar is usually one of the best things about the round. I do not smoke more than two or three cigars a week, usually one, so I do not see any reason to smoke garbage on the course. What would be the point? A wise man once said, life is too short to smoke anything but great cigars.
In response to the original post, what kinds of cigars do you like? Hard to recommend anything without some knowledge of your preferences.

NC, I like the Arturo Fuente Curly Head. For CC's go with a Jose Piedra Cazadores.
Less than a couple bucks a stick and pretty good gars for golfin. Also, not bad to hand out to peopel you are golfin wit if they want to give them a try. Wont' break your wallet to be generous.
