I'm debating on purchasing one of these iron sets in the near future and am curious if any of you have any experience with them or opinions about them. Any info would be appreciated.
I play the 695's and my son plays my older 690's. My back up set are Mizuno Pro's. I cant afford any new line of Mizzies. The 67's look beautiful but didnt hit them last fall. I still prefer the 690's. I only reason I went to the 695's was I went to the R-300 shafts. You cant go wrong with either model. Titleist does have 3 new models coming out in 08 that look pretty sweet.

cjl, I dont know what your handicap or ability is but if you are looking into any one of these clubs I have to assume you are a low handicap golfer with a repeatable swing. I personally have always liked titleist irons. The only problem I have with them is that they tend to throw the ball extremely high, resulting in more spin and less distance. Mizuno irons on the otherhand tend to have a more penetrating ball flight while maintaining control. Either set will have a great look at address and a smooth solid feel at impact.
I just switched last year from Titleist 990B's to the Ping S58 and could not be happier. This was the first set of Pings that looked normal and similar to a blade. The biggest thing with the Ping's is that therre is little to no offset in those irons. A big deal maker when you play a draw naturally. The ball flight is much more penetrating and I still get a decent spin rate off the face. I gained just about a full club in distance with my irons and now hit a 6-iron 210 yards or so... depending on conditions.
I have seen the new Titleist Z muscle irons and they look and feel great. My only concern would be the trajectory... since my past experience with Titleist is that they really throw the ball up high... and that kills you in windy conditions.
Hope that helped if it didnt confuse you too much by throwing another iron set in the mix.
I play the 695MB's and I really like them. But I definitely agree with the previous post that the ball flight is very high and have high spin rate, resulting in the need to hit a longer iron for shorter distance.
A pro I took a lesson from told me the 695's are made for lower ball flight hitters, thus the reason for the above.
However, in regards to feel I like them better than any of the other clubs I hit. I was between those and Mizuno's myself. I went with the Titleists and am not at all disappointed.
Just my humble opinion.

67's are going to be harder to hit then the 695's based upon each clubs horizontal center of gravity, the 67's is relatively high which will make for a more penetrating ball flight but will give you the feeling of a less then solid strike more often then the 695's with their lower horizontal CG. You could try the 695's with something like a project x, it will dampen your feel a bit, but you will achieve a lower ball flight. I like the mizuno's but even the staff mizuno guys are still playing the 32's bc of how unforgiving the 67's can be.
Come again? You know I don't speak Spanish. In English, please. What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? I'm not even mad, that's amazing.
