Its cool, cigdogg...I take my victories where I find them...
For the record, I think OSU should be above WVU and should be the main beneficiary of any LSU, KU, MU losses, not my brother's 'eers.
Just kidding. I made the putt... But it was the longest I ever contemplated a six inch putt. lol

135 yard pitching wedge one hop into the hole. Been 12 years now and many par 3's since with no luck.
P.S. I have seen a double eagle and almost have 5 or so myself. I could beleive someone has had 2. As a matter of fact I have had more near double eagles than I have had near aces. Just the way the ball bounces. Remember, in golf, its now how its how many.
I saw probably one of the most unlikely hole in ones I have ever heard of. I was playing in a tournament with an engineer I work with frequntly and the team we were playing against that day was 5 down through 8 holes. The ninth hole was a par 3, about 145 yards, give or take. Behind the hole there was the main road into the club and on the other side of that some bushes and a large rock. The one gentleman hit his tee shot (bladed) over the green across the road and off of that large rock. The green slopes from back to front and the ball rolled across the road onto the green and about 25 feet into the hole. I couldnt believe my eyes. Fortunately we were still 4 up through 9 and closed the match on the 13th hole. Every year when I play in that tournament someone brings up that shot.

CLEARWATER, Fla. — A hole-in-one is rare on the golf course, but what are the odds of a blind golfer sinking one? Leo Fiyalko couldn't see it, but his golf buddies did — a hole-in-one on the fifth hole at the Cove Cay Country Club.
Fiyalko is 92 and has macular degeneration. He's been golfing for 60 years, but his 110-yard shot with a five iron on Jan. 10 was his first hole-in-one.
"I was just trying to put the ball on the green," Fiyalko said.
Fiyalko tees off every Thursday with a group of golfers ranging in age from 70 to 90-plus. He used to have a seven handicap, but now he needs help lining up his shots and finding his golf balls because he only has peripheral vision in his right eye.
Jean Gehring was playing in his foursome and watched Fiyalko's swing.
"I could tell it went on the green, (but) when we got up there I didn't see it. I looked in the hole and there it was," Gehring said.
Gehring said Fiyalko brushed off the feat, and had to be prodded to tell his wife about it at the end of the round.
Fiyalko's friends at the country club presented him with a plaque last week to commemorate the feat.
Hows that for a hole in one story.

My hole in one, double eagle, was on a 295 yard par 4. They put large trees in the fairway to try and make people play around them. I went over them and new I was close to the green. Got up there and couldn't find my ball. I saw something white on the other side of the green so I went to check it out. As I walked by the hole I looked in and sure enough my ball was there. It was on 18 too. Walk off hole in one.
Friend of mine had a helluva par after hitting his first in the water. He hit again from the tee box and drained it.

not my story but my uncle's. he's retired airforce mechanic. he's been playing at the Altus Air Force Base in Altus, OK for years. Got his first hole in one 6 years ago.
Name: Brian Peterson, Altus, OK, USA Golf Course: Windy Trails, Altus AFB, OK, USA Date: 10/26/2002 Hole Number: 14 Yardage: 160 Club Used: Wilson Fat Shaft 6 Iron Description: My partner, Tom Williams said "it looks like it's rolling at the pin!" I thought it was long and couldn't see the cup. Tom pulled my ball (Top Flight XL2000) out of the cup.
got my only one when i was 12 or 13 i forget now, but it was in the city junior golf tournament. 116 yard #9, balcony of parents/other players in the tourney watching from the pro shop. Green is up a hill so i didnt see it go in, as we walk up to the green everyone on the balacony is cheering and saying it went in. checked the hole, sure enough its in there.
I have not gotten an ace YET either, but when I was in Highschool, I was playing with a few friends, one of whom was always my competition, we were both tied on 17, and our friend who, was horrible, hit first, then we both hit. he green was up a hill so we saw our ball hit but thats all. our friend had scawled the ball and it shot all the way up the and looked like it would just roll on and off the green. when we got up there, our two balls were within 6 feet of the hole, we waited for 10 minutes as our friend looked for his, but finally gave up, I went to take the pin out and it was in the hole... The worst golfer had just made a hole in one... I still won that day!!!

Woah, that's awesome. This reminds me of my golfing buddy, who is as bad as me (we started together just 2 months ago). It was hole 18, a very short hole. I don't know what's the par or the yardage, but I don't think it's more than 60 yards. He hit from the tee box, the ball traveled and hit the edge of the sand just below the green and jumped off landing onto the green. He finished it off with one more put.

My one and only is actually a good story...sort of.
I was playing in a charity scramble with 3 of my pals. We arrived at the first par three after the shotgun start...which was our second hole.
This particular charity was able to provide some pretty cool prizes for the event, including a $10,000 hole in one.
So, we get to the tee box of the par three, and my buddy Mike says "Let's agree to get into all the side games (putting contest, pot of gold, etc) and we'll split any winnings among the 4 of us." Everybody says okay, and we begin to assess the shot.
Sitting next to the hole is an "observer", as they had on all the par three's that day to make sure no funny business went down. Just before we start to hit, she says "Remember, this is our $10,000 hole in one hole."
The 12th hole at Firethorne Country club measures 170yds from the tees we were playing. My teamates had all missed the green, so the pressure was on me to get it close. The hole is tricky, because of some undulation on the green, you can see the flag...but not the cup.
So, I take out my six iron..choke down a bit and swing. "looks good" "nice shot" "damn...that looks close"
So the observer hops in the cart with us and we drive up. No ball on the green.
We walk up the the flag..and it's in the hole.
"YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"
The four of us went absolutely nuts! Then i thought, "holy cow...i just gave away $7,500 bucks"
So now we're flying high, go onto the eagle the next hole (par five) and are on the tee at the next hole when the tournament director drives up. He does not look happy.
He says there was a bit of confusion when the tournament started, and the observer on the 12th hole as supposed to be on #8, but things got switched around at the last minute. As such, while remembering she was supposed to let all golfers know that the prize was $10,000...the 12th was not the money hole...it was number 8.
WHAT????????????? #&^%&(#(*@&$*()^@%^*&^%#(*
Lo and behold, we refer back to the tournament rules sheet given to all the players before play started, and it clearly states the $10,000 prize is on hole #8.
After apoligizing for the mistake, the director did give me a box of Mac. Hyde park cafe's that he was going to raffle off later. We all lit one up on the spot and couldn't wait until the beer cart made it's next pass....

Keep it up..it's a great game, a good way to spend some time with friends, and a fantastic way to judge a person's character.

Sarazen made double eagle 2 on a par 5 in the 1935 Augusta National Golf Club Invitational (now known as The Masters)...par 5, 485 yard #15. There's what used to be called the Sahara Course in Las Vegas, now the Las Vegas National Golf Course...and they have a par 4 that's about 350 yards. In the golf carts, they have the electronic range finders. The comment when you approach the tee there is something to the effect of, "Arnie knocked it on off the tee". So, a hole like that it might be possible. FWIW, I made it to the apron. The green is protected, though, because it has quite a bit of roll to it. An ace there would be pure luck.
