Any suggestions on grips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's a matter of feel... There are several out there that have multi layer/dual density materials and they are made with different colors...you may have seen them.

Personally...I'm partial to midsize tour-wrap (perma-wrap?) by Lamkin. A bit firmer feel than the Golf Pride. But grips are entirely a feel thing...

Anything that feels good to you. If you hook the ball go with a larger grip size, this will cut down on the "hands" through the shot. If you fade/slice try a thinner grip to get the head of the club closing through impact.

As far as brands, go with whatever feels and looks good to you. I have used golf pride, lamkin, and Winn and have been very happy with all of them. Winn are the last I will use though. The harder rubber grips seem to dry my hands out and the Winn grips are fantastic. Not slick in the least in the rain or when my hands are sweating. Granted, they are more expensive, but you are paying for the difference.

Just like a Padron Anny or a Macanudo!

P.S. If you have a vice, try regripping them yourself, you will save a nice bit of money.

Save money????? If you go to a reputable club pro and buy them there they will install them usually for free. And they are done right!

If you belong to a club...you can afford to have someone else grip your clubs, shine your shoes, carry your clubs, wash your clothes, clean your locker...

Oh Porterhouse, look at the wax build up on these shoes I want that wax stripped off there, then I want them creamed and buffed with a fine chamois, and I want them now. Chop chop!!

And always remember, Mick...It's easy to grin when your ship comes in...And you've got the stock market beat. But the man worthwhile, is the man who can smile, when his shorts are too tight in the seat.

Not necessarily save money on the install, but on the grips themselves. Most shops around here jack up the price a good $1-$2 per grip and then they will install for "free". I have regripped my own clubs as well as my friends' for years, and I have never gotten one "wrong".

By the way, that is the only problem with the Winn grips, they are the most difficult ones to install.

Touche, Mick! You, too, appear to have survived a misspent youth...

It is Dishonest JOHN, though...nyah ah ah...
