I just returned from a golf demo day and hit the new Titleist AP2 irons with 5.5 Project X shafts. These were BY FAR the BEST clubs I've ever hit. The price point is very high (1K) but I'm gonna buy them anyway because they are that good. I thought others may want to know how the clubs performed, as demo days are not always easy to get to for some folks.

Are they better than the Callaway?

IMHO...they certainly are!!! I broke down today and decided I simply had to have them. I got a great price from a friend ($799.20) as opposed to the $999.99 price that most will have to pay to own these irons. I CAN NOT wait to get out on the course with them!!!

I got the AP1 irons and love them. I like the look of the AP2's more, but I figured why not take advantage of the technology with something that is more forgiving (I'm about a 5). Hope you like your 2s as much as I like my 1s.

It's funny you brought this back up. I played yesterday and stuck four shots from 130 - 170 yards within 5 feet of the pin. I must admit the Project X shafts took some time to get used to but I am definitely striking the ball well now. I love these AP2 irons and plan to keep them for many, many years. Enjoy the AP1s!!!
