The wife and I are heading up to New Hampshire mid September. Looking for a nice place to stay and golf. So far we have looked into (on internet)The Wentworth Country Inn and the Riverbend Inn. The local courses are: Indian Mound Country Club and North Conway. They both offer golf packages; stay and play for a lump sum. I'm sure we have some members that live in the great state of New Hampshire on the forums here. If you know of any really nice courses to play that we can check into it would be appreciated. Lets try and keep this to a money limit that one doesn't have to be a Donald Trump to go to. Thanks in advance.

3D,

Sorry, but I'm of the "rather watch spit dry than play golf" crowd - more of a hockey player.

Having said that, I do believe both the Washington Mountain Resort area and Waterville Valley sites offer great golfing and a host of other activities.

I've been to both in the September timeframe and am sure either will meet your needs - aside from offering a "golfing" opinion. Good luck and enjoy the "Live Free or Die" state!!

P.S. If you have some extra time, I HIGHLY recommend the Moosehead Lake area of Maine at this time of year, as a possible trip ending diversion - both for the fall colors and the chance to see this hugely magnificent beast!!

3D,

If you do make the trip to Moosehead Lake, I can vouch for the Lodge at Moosehead Lake, an excellent B&B!!

The Wentworth and Eagle Rock resort courses are decent, relatively easy courses. The Mt. Washington Hotel 18 hole course is more challenging but is closed for renovation. The Panorama course at the Balsaams Resort in Dixville Notch is the best in the state.
