When I play in my company's summer 9 hole league and the Northeast's older layouts I prefer to walk the courses.

At resort courses and some of the newer layout that meander endlessly through the neighborhoods I understand the fun of riding in a cart. Summer in Dallas kind of requires the carts too.

But, last weekend I was in Hilton Head Island and Palmetto Dunes made all their carts air conditioned. Confused Strange stuff in my book.

Odd but very intriguing was the fact that they are renting Sequey transporters there too. Not sure if I would be interesting in paying above and beyond the usual fees, but these look cool!

A/C in the cart? That's too much, in my opinion. Why be out there at all if you can't enjoy the air?

Can you smoke in an air conditioned cart?

Those little propane heaters are a big help for the die hard winter golfer. Now, A/C on the other hand is a little too much. As all courses find out how profitable it is to ride these days. I just can't see walking as a option in the future. I myself will ride all the time. We are not on the PGA tour here and, I need a place to put my beer and cigar's.

Walking is great for your health but, I am not out there for my health. I just love the game.
