Just want to give you all a tip about a great public golf course in Miami. Just spent a few days down there for the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. One of the best courses I played was Crandon Park, out on Key Biscayne. The Champions Tour used to play the Royal Caribbean Classic there. Not cheap (about $145 for non-residents on the weekend), but it is a great layout. The greens were in perfect shape, most running over 10 on the stimp, and while there were some thin spots on the fairways, they were minimal. Lots of excellent holes, and three of four par 3s are tremendous golf holes.
Take a shot next time you're down there.

I agree with Gordon. Played this course in Dec 05 on a biz outing. There was a ton of rain (we only got 10 holes in), but the course drained well and the greens remained true.
The risk of kicking butt is you get some crap on your shoe
Agreed, I used to play that course alot in the mid/late 90's. If memory serves me, i was about $50 back then. Does the County Parks Dept. still own/maintain the course???
