Education really has nothing to do with NC and CC smokers. It may influence one as they learn, but it is not direct at all.

OK, perhaps I assume too much from the readers here. "Educated" was in terms of educated-in-cigars, and not "education" in general.

Most of the people who smoke Cubans, certainly almost all the Americans who smoke Cubans, were at one time extreme NC buffs who have moved on to the next step. I'll leave it at that.

Why are you bashing NC's so much Sobek! If you dont like them so much why post on how terrible you think they all are. Your in every thread on this NC board damn near, bashing NC's. I like both CC and NC, but they both have their quirks so chill a bit dude, its getting old.

I'm not going to lie and say I enjoyed this or that cigar. If i have smoked a certain cigar, which usually means I bought a box blind, then I will give my opinion. If you don't like it, ignore my opinion. What should negative opinions not be posted?

I'll admit I'm fairly critical of NC's. I used to clutch to the belief that they were overall not that big of a drop from CC's...and some aren't.

NC smokers may not find my opinion very useful. But some guys who smoke mostly CC might find my opinions useful, when it comes to NC purchases.

I've given a few positive reviews of NC's lately. It's just that I find most NC's unsmokeable. But I continue to search for the rare NC's that are decent and not priced to bend you over. So far that list is small.

I don't get why people get so sensitive about NCs anyways. It's not like they are made in the good old US of A. CC's and NC's are all foreign, so who gives a rat's asz what i say about them.

For me, I have to admit I have a hoarding gene. If I can't get something, it makes me want it all the more (to stockpile it)! I love Havanas -- they're a totally different creature from NCs in terms of aroma and flavor. I personally don't think they're necessarily better or worse but certainly very unique. But then again, as a US citizen, access is a problem.

What I'm wondering...and this is directed at folks in Canada, Mexico, etc...since you have access to all kinds of cigars, regardless of origin, do you feel Havanas are superior or just different? If they were priced the same as a good Dominican cigar, and there was no prestige factor attached to smoking them, would it be such a big deal? I don't know, I'm just putting the question out there...
