I have had a couple Bahia's that I really enjoyed, but never the Blue line. I guess I now have another cigar I need to try.

I heard good things about the gold maduros but I was a little disappointed. Maybe they were young but they tasted off to me and the burn was poor. Did you experience any of this with the bahia blu line? I am not willing to write them off after one bad experience. The bahia gold did have some very rich bold flavors if I remember correctly, they were just not very consistent.
Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.
all the Bahia lines seem to have quality issues, and thats why I never buy boxes of them. When they are good they are great. I just wish it was always that case.

I tried a Blu a couple of days ago. What sticks in my memory (what's left of it) is that it burned really hot. And it looked like the filler was made up of leaves thicker than those I see in other cigars. Maybe that was my imagination and even if they were, maybe it has nothing to do with the quality.

I've never had the blue. I used to love the Bahia Gold's. I think I read that they changed the blend and moved production, so now they are different. The box that stogie won from cA that we basically split pretty much sucked. They burn horribly and the flavor is just off a bit. They are rounding out a bit now after about 4 months, but they still aren't nearly as good as they used to be.
