Whats the difference? Which one do you guys prefer? I've only smoked the "O" and loved it, I've had the old school blue banded one as well as the current... i dunno why but i prefer the blue banded. could be the age the blue bands have on them.
The Oliva O is a Nicaraguan puro grown with all Habano seed tobacco. The Oliva G uses a slightly different blend of Nicaraguan grown Habano tobacco, and has a Cameroon wrapper on it. The Oliva O is a full bodied cigar in contrast to the medium bodied G series, and it is also aged 5 years, which the G is not. The Oliva G is a value-priced cigar, which is maybe why it is terrible. I am a fan of Cameroon wrappers, and the Oliva G is by far the worst I have ever smoked, in fact probably the worst handmade cigar I have ever smoked. It tasted like smoke, and has absolutely no flavor. Stick with the O if you like it, and stay away from the G.
I am just the opposite, I prefer the G, It's lighter and the flavors are crisper and more pronounced. The O is fuller for sure, but it's body and flavor get overbearing and drab to me mid-stick.

I agree. There are other makes with cameroon wrapper that I prefer (Perdomo being one). But for real value ($3 robusto), the Oliva G is excellent.
