Tried my first one today today and really enjoyed the flavor. Has anyone else tried one of these? I see mention and reviews of the G and V lines along with the O, but little is discussed regarding the "S". I haven't tried the "O" yet but was wondering how others felt it compared to the "S" line or if anyone had tried the "S"s.

I picked up two of the Special S Diadema(7 x 48). I've smoked one and much prefer the Series V. It's been a long time since I've smoked a Series O so can't comment on that. The Special S was very cedary with some spice. I think a bit of age (I'm guessing 18 to 24 months) will round this cigar out nicely.

I've had both the S and O series. Between the two I prefer the S. I really enjoy the special S. I would say the O is a little lighter on the palete then the S is. That's my take thought. Just like Osnat said, the V is the way to go in my book too.

Don't get too hooked, it is my understanding that they are doing away with the Special "S." Hence why we are seeing less and less.

And as the previous posters have stated, its the V, the original silk banded O bolds, or MB2s.

I have an O I'm waiting to try. Oliva recommends they be stored above 70% RH which is higher than my humidors. I'll see how I like it at 65%.

Oliva brands are to me, top notch quality smokes. i did however have a tunneling problem with a couple of series Os, but considering how many i have blazed up so far, that alone will not deter me from going forward on purchasing anymore.

Heck, even the La Flor De Olivas are not too bad for basically a buck a stick. flavor wise, they are at least tolerable, construction..........eh......need improvement, but again, what do you expect for a buck a stick.

Olivas = Always in my Humis.

Just this morning smoked a Series S mini perfecto, same size as the Fuente Short Story. I really liked the cigar very much, full of spice, much more so than the Short Story which has a Cameroon wrap notorious for spiciness. Guessing since it is an Oliva, it has to be Nicaraguan. Too bad they are set to be discontinued, I'd buy more of these.

They've been out of production for some time now. I was a little disappointed to see them go, as was my local Oliva sales rep -- this was his favorite line.

I checked a few sites that I normally use to buy my NCs and there are still some Oliva S cigars available in the market. I picked up a box of the 6 x 52 Torp/Beli for $152 today, and plan on sitting on them since they are going out of production. This is truly a very good blend, can't understand why they would discontinue it.

If you don't mind sharing, where did you find these sticks? I'd love to get my hands on some before they are completely off the market, as I'm a huge fan of Oliva smokes.

Famous Smoke Shop has several different sizes. Just do a google search and you can come up with a few retailers who have them.
