I see a lot of postings about the fake or expensive cubans in the Bahamas. I'm going in two weeks and just want to be able to get some decent non-cubans to smoke while I'm there. Can I find them in the Bahamas for reasonable prices? Where? Should I bring my own?

The Graycliff Hotel has been featured in CA. Also the Atlantis hotel and casino has a place called Havana Humidor sells cuban and non-cuban. Avg. cuban price prob $20, but if I remember right the nc were not bad at all.

I agree, BYOS. Cubans are all fakes and most NC's are fakes. Also quality is spotty as stores that have cigar aren't dedicated tobacconists. I have seen touristy shops with good cigars stored in poor conditions.
I was in Cancun back in june and had that problem, every single cuben was fake and worst i could'nt fine a single non cuben.
so i smoke a bad fake cuben and just doubled up on the booze hoping that i would get so drunk i wouldn't notice.

Import taxes for tobacco, wine etc. are very high in the Bahamas, which is one reason why cigars and fine dinners there are quite expensive. That said, if you're in the Nassau area and you're into cigars you should stop by the Graycliff cigar factory, which is attached to the Graycliff hotel. They have a wine cellar that's quite extensive, great food and they make Graycliff cigars.

Thanks to everyone. There was a nice store, havana humidor, in the Atlantis - only sold very expensive cubans. I'm glad I brought enough cigars for the week with me. For one whole week I smoked cigars all day - 4-5 per day, it was great.
