I've seen this subject batted around on other sites, so we need to discuss it here. This is a new CAO cigar that comes in a "wayyyyyyyy over done box"! I'm a huge fan of the Brazilia's and MX2's, so I'll give these a try. I wonder if their price tag is reflective of the over-the-top packaging!!!

there is no company better at marketing their product, i could care less about the fancy box, if they are as good as the brazilia or maduro than i am all over it.

I totally agree with stogeez. CAO, IMHO, is making the most solid, consistent product on the market today. I have NEVER had a bad CAO cigar. The Brazilia is my favorite stick as well as most of the other lines.
The packaging is cute and will grab media attention which is what marketing is all about - free publicity is always a good thing.
I for one am looking forward to seeing both the box and the stick

I like their sticks but the packaging is irrelevant. However, right now I am a little down on CAO since they didn't pick my entry for their contest to attend RTDA in Las Vegas as their guests!

I'm interested to see how good the box is as far as being a travel/desktop humidor.
As for the lights, it looks like they are trying to market to the 20 year old high school dropouts who spend all of their money from delivering pizzas on "bling bling" for their tuner cars.
Lights aside, if they are a good smoke then I'll buy them!
It looks like they may have used a black light during the filming to inhance the visuals. I really don't think there would be neon in the humidor, the heat generated would defeat the purpose and dry the cigars. But then again who knows.

I saw a sample from RTDA -- it had a mottled wrapped with a huge vein running right down the middle. I didn't smoke one; the guy who did ditched it halfway through.
I didn't have a chance to see the much vaunted box at the RTDA, but I DID have a chance to smoke a robusto-size sample of the cigar before the show started. Although I too have generally been a fan of CAOs product, the Vision was a real disappointment. It ranged in flavor from bland to grassy too outright nasty. Hate to say it. Trying to be positive, one might presume that the samples were young and that whatever flavor profile they originally enVISIONed will emerge over time, so I'll try it again in a while. For now though, this gets a big thumbs down in my personal book.

I've had a CAO Brasilia and I was not overly impressed with the cigar. It had decent flavor but compared to many others and their costs I was not very impressed with CAO. Now that's not saying that if someone were to hand out a free CAO I wouldn't try one but I doubt that I would pay for one in the near future.
I got to try a C.A.O. Vision at last years RTDA. It was the best cigar I tried out of everything that was new last year. It will be well worth the wait. I already have a box of the Robustos on hold at my local shop when they come in. The Robusto was a FAVORITE!

You may be the first person I've ever heard say they didn't like the Brazilia's! I'm amazed! These are first rate maduro cigars that have a great flavor! But...to each his own!
And, to stay on thread topic...I still have not seen a CAO Vision cigar out there!

Maybe I just got a bad one. I didn't really think they had much flavor to them. I got a very strong leafy flavor from them rather than some of the other cigars that I smoke that don't taste like leaves.
I'm going to have to try another one next time I visit my local B&M.
