I am lucky enough to have 9 boxes of this rare to find cigars and I really enjoy smoking them every now and then. I keep them in 65% RH and so far I have smoked 2 boxes over a period of 18 months. My problem is that no matter how gently I light them I always have the wrapper cracking after the first few puffs. Any thoughts on this?has anyone else had the same problems like I do?
Bring the R/H up closer to 70% see what happens. Sounds like they are a little dry. The wrappers are very well aged and probably would appreciate a little extra moisture. I hope the oils did not leave them. Non Cubans do better at a higher R/H than Cubans. Good Luck.

When I use my cutter they don't feel like dry. None the less I will bring if up to 70%RH. No problem with the oils, nice and shiny with great flavors when I smoke them. Please have in mind that I live in Greece and the temperature this time of the year is 80 degrees indoors
I am well aware of the temperature in Greece this time of year my Spartan friend. As i live in southern Italy. I guess that makes me your Roman friend. None the less our ancestors were great warriors. We deserve the pleasure of a good cigar. Enjoy. Ciao Don
