Just had a nice surprise with the Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Maduro Rothchild. My tobacconist had them as the weekly "humidor best buy" for $3.20 a stick and I just bought a couple on a whim. I found that they had good solid construction, a good clean burn and they actually tasted very good. They were a bit on the mild side but I would definitly buy them again. Just wondered if anyone else had tried these smokes.

I get them for 2.75! They are good if aged properly. I have a green one the other day, and I'll keep the other ones for a while. But for the price they are very nice everyday smoke, although I think I actually prefer the natural wrapper.

Same here. The SLRs are one of my favorites, especially the maduro. Good solid construction, never had a draw problem, and good flavor to boot!!

Cool

For the couple I tried, I thought they were pretty good especially for the price. The naturals were also good.

How do they compare to the Sancho Paza Double Maduro ? I like those & there also in the same price range.
