If it's a band the size of a wedding band, then it could also one of the pre-production samples of their new Cuvee series. I received a few of these though they weren't maduro, but the wrapper was a dark sungrown. Many manufacturers use plain bands like this on pre-production samples.

I smoke the Cusano 18yr aged maduro or mild cigars. I'm not sure who makes them but I find that they are a very consistent cigar and good for the money I pay for them.

I got one of them at a recent cigar dinner, thick silver band and dark wrapper. I liked it very much. I had a robusto size and the draw was very easy. Smoked cool, burned evenly and well. (I have to tell you i was not paying attention with the wine and food so it went out a couple of times) Taste was a little of leather and cherry, no pepper.
