Just had a Rocky Patel Decade Robusto. This was by far the most peppery cigar I've ever smoked. Complex cigars seem to always have a percentage of it's flavor described as "spicy" or "peppery", but the Decade had so much pepper that I couldn't say it was complex. To me it was 90% pepper, and so strong that I couldn't smoke it without taking periodic breaks. Perhaps a few years in my humi will tone it down and make it a bit more balanced. This is not a criticism, but merely an observation. It is a gorgeous cigar with a silky wrapper and perfect construction, but certainly not an every day smoke. I am, however, glad to have had the experience of smoking a cigar on the extreme end of the flavor scale.

I just smoked a Rocky Patel Decade the other evening and found it to be a wonderful cigar. The cigar I smoked had about 6 months of age on it or so....give or take a month or two.

I detected a slight peppery flavor to the cigar that I had compared to what is described above and I do usually smoke full bodied cigars.

I've definitely picked up some spicy peppery notes but also found a lot of creamy, cinnemon-like flavors. The pepper didn't dominate the ones I smoked but it was there.

Great cigar--decent spiciness
but if you REALLY like pepper look for a cigar call "Hot Kiss" or ("Beso Calor" in Spanish) its a creamy smooth cigar that is sooooooo peppery it lights up in your mouth before you even put flame to it. After you light it the creaminess comes on and the combination is just not like ANYTHING else I've ever tasted...in a good way Big Grin

IMHO, the toro is by far the most well balanced size in the line.

I recently smoked a Gran Habano 3 Siglos torpedo and found it smooth, but very bland with very little pepper. I guess it's all about what you're used to and your point of comparison.
