I looked all over for Denobilis. Found them and at first I didn't know what I was looking at. A lot of research and I found out. I was interested in Denobilis because I had read about them in The Godfather (novel) and heard about them in Casino (movie). Made by Avanti, they said that they make over 30 million of them a year. Now, I can not be the only one who smokes them on this forum, can I? The flavor was not bad and if no one is looking I like to cut one in half and smoke it. They are ugly but does anyone else enjoy toscano styled cigars?
I smoked the Toscano Antica Riserva (TAR) and Toscano Originale when I was living in US. Whenever I was back in Italy for x-mas I was smoking them alternating with some nice cubans with my friends at our traditional x-mas afternoon poker. Realizing I was skipping some steps I am now getting Toscanelli (half Toscano with different aging) and Toscano Garibaldi (milder) from my bro' (who lives in Italy). I understand next step should be Toscano Extra Vecchio and Antico Toscano. Next time in Italy (now I live in Brazil) I will try to see if I can get my hands on Toscano Il Moro (a limited edition produced in few copies during x-mas). Many in Italy smoke them dry, a new wave is smoking them humid (including many women). I know there are a few in US who like the Toscano Antica Riserva (I was buying many boxes for them). You can find many different versions indeed: some are already cut by half, the full ones could be smoked either way (depending how you feel, how much time you have, if you only have one and want to share with a friend). Smoking the full one is a must with the Toscano Originale, TAR or Il Moro.
