I have friends who use their club, which gives you rebate credits on cigar purchases. They're very happy with them, although I don't think they've ever used Cigars Intl., Famous or others.

I visited their Tampa store once. They had some in-store deals that weren't bad. If you come from a state with a high tobacco tax, their prices are OK-- basically MSRP. But you can do better through the mail.

I order their samplers occasionally. Those can be good deals. They do seem to ship cigars more dry than others, though.

As for Ybor City, there's a large cigar store called King Corona that's really good. They have a great selection. Prices are OK for being in a tourist area (it hellps that Florida has no cigar tax).

They have a beer and wine license and offer Cuban-style coffee. Perhaps the best thing about them is the store includes an old-fashioned barber shop where you can smoke while waiting for a haircut.

Since you mentioned Tampa.
Try Tampa Sweethearts.

Metropolitan Cigas on 7th Ave in Ybor city has a great selection and Peter will not steer you wrong.

Tampa Sweethearts has the best deals on Ashton and Fuente products. This shop is right near Metropolitan on 22nd St. just south of 7th Ave.

Casa Tobacco in North Tampa on Dale Mabry (north of Bearss on the east side of the road next to Grillsmith/Subway) has probably the best selection in town and fair prices.

Edwards Tobacco in South Tampa is another great Tampa Bay cigar shop. They have been around for quite a while and offer a great selection. They are a Davidoff dealer.

BTW, Ybor is not a tourist trap if you go to the stores I listed. It has great culture and food. The nightlife is great if you want to get a knife stuck in you. Wink
