I normally don't spend ridculous amounts of money on a cigar, but I have a special thing coming up. I need some experienced smoker advice.
I love the Padron #2000 & #3000. So I want to buy their best. I have heard they are both great, but if you had to pick a winner ?

I like the '64 a lot more. I never really liked the '26 line.

Had both a few weeks ago. A PAM26 Diplomatico and a PAN64 Monarca. Both were awesome and you can't go wrong with either. For me, I preferred the 64 as it was a bit bolder. I also prefer the natural vs. maduro wrapper. There was a thread recently on this very topic, and seems consensus was for the 64, but far from unaminous.

Both are good cigars, even better when you can find them at a decent price. I'm with the others on this - the 64 is superior IMO.

I found the 64 exclusivo to be a more balanced smoke. It had good strong flavors of spice, cedar, chocolate, espresso, but none were overpowering or overshadowing of any of the other flavors. I like the power of the 26 more, but the #6 i had was very spice heavy. I love spice, but it was so strong that it really downplayed the espresso and cedar flavors that i found. that being said, i very much enjoyed both, for strength the 26, for flavor the 64. Overall, I would go with the 64 when price is considered as well.

Noob, and a FNG to boot!

on a side note as i posted a while ago, i actually found the 64 exclusivo to be the most similar NC smoke to the CC MC #2. Can't wait to get my hands on one of the 64 pyramids and see how they stack up against each other.

mmm I have a 64 pyramid waiting in the tupperdor. I hope its worth the money. I usually don't spend that much on a cigar, but luckily it was a gracious gift :-)

hardlined,

PLEASE post your experience, i am really interested to know. I need to make some calls to see if i can find any of these singles. no boxes available at a reasonable price (reasonable price = sold out), and i can't afford a box right now anyway. Just want to know if i should go ahead and spend the money on a single to try for myself (then again isnt the answer to that always yes??).

After hearing the hype of the PAM 64's for so long, I looked and looked for this hot commodity. I finally bought a box of PAM 64 Exclusivo for $213.50 at Smoker's Hub.

I had one on the back nine this past saturday. I had a sore throat, but enjoyed the cigar nonetheless. I couldn't wait.

If you love the padron 2k's, you'll do backflips for the PAM 64's. But since they are more expensive and harder to find, you'll do a backflip probably once or twice a year.

The PAM 64's are my smoke of choice.

I always keep my humidor stocked with them.

Been smoking the Exclusivios of late paired with scotch. All I can say is WOW!

What really makes the 64's or 26's better than the regular line anyway? I am very curious to know what you all think...
