Just got the CAO Newsletter. They are unveiling the CX2 at the RTDA. Here's a part of the email...

CX2 ("Cameroon-times-two") is the first cigar ever to incorporate TWO Cameroon wrapper leaves in one blend. Cameroon wrapper is widely recognized by the cigar cognoscenti as among the most cherished and highest valued wrapper leaf on the planet. Grade One Cameroon wrapper leaf is used for the CX2 external wrapper. The second wrapper - utilized as a binder - is also Cameroon leaf. Exquisite Nicaraguan and Colombian filler tobaccos complete the CAO CX2. The CAO CX2 spotlights and amplifies Cameroon tobacco's heralded spicy-sweet-earthy flavor profile unlike any other cigar before.

CAO CX2 will be available in 3 shapes: Rob (5" x 52), Toro (6" x 54), and Beli (7" x 56). Ask your local retail tobacconist about this ground-breaking release from CAO that is due to hit the shelves this August.

Sounds interesting. I'll give one a try.

I have to admit that CAOs new cigars always sound gimmiky to me. MX@. Italia, CX2. They always deliver though.

People aren't smoking cigars to be trendy, cool or stylish. They're smoking cigars because they like them. Because they enjoy the experience. Because for about $5 they can spend an hour sampling one of life's greatest luxuries.

I'll try just about anything once so I'll give this a shot. Overall though, CAO doesn't really impress me.

I'll be looking forward to trying one of each size. I'm starting to really like a good Cameroon. Thanks for the heads up SHF.

I just tried the new Black Box cigar by camacho.
It is billed as a super strong cigar so I bought one of the 5x60's and I am telling you I almost passed out. I got dizzy and felt like I might get ill.
I like a strong cigar but it was a bit much. I will try a smaller gauge cigar in this line next weekend and see if the ring gauge makes a difference like it does for the Brazialian line.

From what I understand, the CX2's are going to be made for CAO by Torano like the MX2's and Brazilias are...so construction should be great. Now if I can just find a few to try

They will shipping in mid to late September so go to your local in a few weeks and start hammering them.
This stick was superb. I enjoyed one Monday night at the CAO party in New Orleans. I picked up a few of the new Soprano's Edition but I haven't smoked one yet.
These are due to ship in October.

my shops manager said he smoked several sopranos while at the cao party at the RTDA, and was really impressed...he wasn't much for the CX2, but he's not a big cameroon fan...

CAO marketing strikes again. Quick everyone, hurry up and buy their newest disappointment.
