I have had a couple of these and while I really enjoyed the flavor I found that they just were not burning consistently. Did you experience any burn or construction problems last night?
I have one left that I'm saving for a calm evening.
None whats so ever. The cigar was an absolute gem.Looked awesome,Smoked even better than it looked i was very surprised.I store all my smokes at 69 degrees F 65% humidity .This cigar was given to me about a month ago.I am searching on line now to see if i can find some having a hard time.Any suggestions?

Hmmm well hopefully it was just that one cigar, b/c otherwis I really liked it. Looks like jacobdad beat me to endorsing jackschwartz for like the 5th time this week! Glad you found them, enjoy
OH MY GOD. I just smoked another one tonight pure heaven. One of the best N.C. cigars i have ever smoked. OOP'S i think i said that all ready anyway. Lots of thick chewy smoke sweet, nutty ,woody, are the most noticed tastes. Great cigar and only $16 worth every penny.

I just read that the Small Batch No 2 will be out in Sept. Slightly shorter and thicker at the same price. (6 1/2 x 54 vs 7 x 52) It will be fun to compare the two.
Thanks for the site rec. I've been meaning to try the Litto Gomez Lucitano, but no one in my area carries them. Jack Schwartz has them as well as the Ashton VSG in singles. Awesome.
How would the small batch compare to the Lucitano? Lucitano was rated as one of the best by one site.
For the small batch to receive such accolades from Sheepshead Bay, I'll have to try it.
Sorry guys i for got about this thread i just saw the posts.Yes i did get the #2's at first only 2 of us were splitting the box.But after we handed a couple out at a card game 5 of us wound up splitting the box. They are everything the #1 is and more.Much more creamy smoke i think a much stronger and complex cigar than the #1.If you like the #1's you are gonna love these.

Just had my LG small batch #2 tonight. Thanks Sheepshead again for the rec.
What an awesome cigar. I had been smelling this cigar almost every night for the past two weeks while it was stabilizing from its journey across the country (online purchase). The aroma was very similar to an anejo. The wrapper is gorgeous.
I wish I had the ability to distinguish all the flavors. There was a slight consistent spice through the entire cigar which accentuated the experience. This cigar is extremely complex and enjoyable through 2/3's of the cigar. Burn, draw and amount of smoke were all excellent to the end. This was definitely one of the best NC I've ever smoked. I thought better than the Opus X. The last 1/3 of the cigar reminded me of the Chisel. Strong tobacco flavor. All the other flavors during the first 2/3's of the cigar vanished and a strong tobacco flavor with a coffee finish remained.
The only downside to this smoke was burning my fingers on the knub. I would definitely recommend this cigar. I still have the Lucitano waiting for me, but from other reviews, I doubt it will live up to the experience of the small batch. I should have smoked the Lucitano first, but I couldn't hold out any longer. The wrapper and aroma just drew me in and I couldn't wait another day.
I cannot wait to get at these. Since the New year there is nowhere left to smoke. Just biding my time until its warm enough to sit outside. Great review icall.
