I have learned of a few good internet retailers on this site. I would love to see a master list of retailers that we like and have good stuff.

Kind of like the "must smoke" list only much more selective.

So far I have ordered from:
Thompson's
Famous Smoke
Holt's

Not ordered yet but recommended was JRCIGARS.

The money I saved on my order with Famous Smoke today over my pending order with Thompson's purchased my Opus X sampler with Holt's.

Internet Cigar Retailer List:

Famous Smoke
Holt's
JRCIGARS
Cigarsinternational.com & Cigarbid.com
Atlantic Cigar
TNT (best prices I have seen so far)

Do not use list:
Thompson's (high prices)

Sure did!

Goto Holt's website, select the samplers, then scroll down to find the right sampler. It is an amazing deal. Nothing like it anywhere. I heard about it in the thread on this forum about the opus x's and if they are worth the $.

Hope that helps.

Have bought from many, but in the last several years have narrowed it down to Famous and Mike's. Both have realistic prices. Some online sites are just outrageous, and guess they make a living on newbies.

Sorry gentlemen, but I was away from computer for a couple days. Yes, Carlito's Way. It may be the best deal on the internet right now.

Atlantic Cigars has tremendous prices and a vast inventory. Their prices rival JR's and their shipping fees are very reasonable.

For boxes I've had great experiences with Atlantic Cigar, Famous Smoke Shop and Neptune Cigars. For singles I've had great experiences with Serious Cigars and Habana house.

Just found TheCigarStore, and they have some prices that blow away famouscigar!

Anyone order from them before?

We need a "do not shop" list too.

I just received my order from Holts--the Carlito's Way (with Opus X) in 5 days. They were in great shape and very, very well protected. I'm impressed with Holt's. I'm going to put them in the humi and smoke one next Thanksgiving.

The best online retailer IMO is Best Cigar Prices...selection like you wouldn't believe, and usually the low price on what you're looking for.

I also really like Cigars International; (look for the Ultimate CI Christmas sampler, you'll like it).

Holts is another favorite (that Carlito's Way sampler - WOW!) and I buy a bit from them.

After that, Famous, Abners, Atlantic, Nice Ash and JR are all pretty good places to buy.

I wish I could remember which retailer it was who actually hung up on me on a rare occasion when I called to place an order rather than do it online. It was one in Florida - Boca if IIRC. Jerk.

Here's Cigar Cyclopedia's ranking of online retailers: http://www.cigarcyclopedia.com/popup/index.php?p=/cigar...ks_cigars.php?&id=17

Some of these were mentioned already, but here's a few more. Hope it's helpful.

Holts is probably one of the best e-tailers as far as protecting the cigars, and their prices aren't bad. I personally use:

Holts
CI
Atlantic
JR's for certain things like my Nat Shermans
Famous-Smoke once in awhile
Smoke All
Serious Cigars
2 Guys Smoke Shop
Mikes Cigars

Never had what I would call a bad shipment from any of them, and any problem I had with a cigar, like one that was packed with a split foot or something, I'd email them and they would ship another cigar out. All have excellent service.
