So I have smoked 3 Hemingway Signatures and enjoyed them immensely. Now I am wondering why not spring for a box of these for 150 bux. Then I notice that all of the other sticks in Gran Reserva line are about half the price of the Hemingway. Has anyone sampled the others in this line, and if so what (besides the price and neato shape) did you find different or the same....
I agree. I think the Hemingways stomp Grand Reserva (which is a decent cigar in it's own right.) I buy Short Stories like they are going out of style. I try to have a box or two resting and one ready to smoke at all times. Signatures also take up a nice chunk of my cigar budget.
If you like Hemingways, get your hands on Anejo's. You'll then be like the rest of us Hemingway lovers who will spend unearthly sums to secure our stash of fav rare Fuentes.
Bobsled, if you take a good look at the band the Grand Reserve it is Red over a Green band, the Hemmingways are Red over a Black band , as are all the Don Carlos line & the sungrowns. Enjoy, Vince

Ahhh, I see the difference in the band. I figured there had to be more to it than just the fun shape. I love the Hemingways.... I am still a noob to 'gars (smokin' since June) and haven't heard of Anejos or seen them mentioned here in my lurkings, what is the scoop with them?
I love the hemingways, especially the short stories, and the sun growns. the only thing better is the Don Carlos, which is a magnificient cigar in my opinion.

Anejo's are very limited release. In some cases it's actually easier to find Opus X than Anejos.
Where the Reserva are green and Don Carlos are black, the Anejo's are white. If you see them, buy ALL they will let you. Even if you don't like them after you smoke them, you'll be able to resell or trade for more than you paid.
My personal favs are the 77 Sharks. These are a fat Pyramid, but the foot is a bit square pressed. Very nice shape and very powerful but smooth cigar.
Profile on the Anejo's are full bodied, they do pack a bit of a punch but are not harsh like some stronger cigars can be. Look for them now, like it was mentioned above they are only released twice a year. While you're at it, why not find some maduro Hemingways? I think you'll love them!
