Famous-smoke is my steady. Great deal on 5 packs for LGC Series R and Padron 5000's, my two "go-to" cigars. They come out cheaper on the 5 pack specials than by boxes everywhere else I've looked.

New Havana is probably the best shipper and has very hard to find smokes, but expensive as well.

Cigarplace.biz has insanely good prices. I'm just about ready to hit 'em for some Black Labels.

Jackschwartz.com has an excellent selection for individual cigars, singles, and has some hard to find smokes such as the Litto Gomez Small Batch #2, one of my favorites, Oliva Series V in singles and I believe even RP Decades. They're a little pricey as well, but service is awesome, packaging and shipping are awesome and selection of singles is outstanding. A great place to put a sampler together of all the good recommendations you'll find on this forum.

I'm gonna have to bookmark this thread or copy and paste all the sites. Good stuff here!

Thanks for all the great info. I have looked into several of these sites. The problem I have found is unless, I am looking for some RP or Padron I should stick with JR Cigar. I have had no problems with shipping or the quality of my sticks. Again thanks for the help

Uh, OK. Unless JR is hiding them, you'll be missing the greatest cigars in my opinion.

Years ago, I only ordered form JR. I only smoked Fuente 8-5-8 and Punch Gran Cru Monarcas.

JR, to my knowledge, does not carry Don Pepin Garcia (Black label is insane and his other stuff isn't too bad either), Padilla Miami 8/11, Tatuaje, Illusione, Litto Gomez, Oliva or as you mentioned Padron, which the 1926 #1 is my favorite non-cuban smoke. I also didn't see Ashton VSG on JR's site either, though I didn't look too hard.

I strongly recommend using the search feature to find member's favorite smokes. You will greatly increase your appreciation of cigar smoking. I know I did.

Cigarencyclopedia is a good place to comparison shop the various online vendors.

For NC cigars, this is a great site. For CC's, I would be very cautious.....

I order my cigars from tampa humidor. They have great prices (IMO) and yes they have free shipping on singles. Here is the catch, if you spend $30 or more you can get UPS shipping. For me I get my order the next day. Ask for Nancy she is great. And "NO" I don't work for them...Just answering the question.

P.S...Some of you thought that when I joined this forum awhile back under a different name (I was kicked out because some thought that I was here to F^cking promote TAMPAHUMIDOR.COM, I even replied back to the email and told them that was a customer and not a employee or promoter). I was excited about my new discovery and wanted to share the info. Ya'll almost ruined a noob's experience. But that didn't stop me hence the name, UNKNOWN.

P.S.S..Venting a little because this has been bothering me for awhile now. Big Grin

okay thanks for that unknown, good to know that the unknown person is not a sales person haha. So what were your thoughts when you first discovered that you were kicked out?

"Is that a Churchill cigar in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

D, I thought this was pure D Bull$hit! I'm not Representing Tampa Humidor. The people at Tampa Humidor even laughed about it. They thought it was crazy because I didn't have anything to do with the company except being a customer.

Havent posted in a while but figured I would throw in another name for you. The Havana Club. Website is thehavanaclub.com

Their niche is more the boutique brands like Tatuaje, Cabaiguan, Illusione, etc.

Good Luck

I'm a fan of famous for now. I think their ordering process is neat & informative. They ship quick and you can have a PDF of your order immediately. I've submitted a few price checks but haven't seen anything materialize there yet.

Also, I too had a good experience with Tampa. I got a lexington humidor from them a little while ago and it had issues. I called to complain and they offered a generous incentive to keep it, or I could have shipped it back for full refund.

And yah, it was Nancy that handled it. Nice woman. Got some smokes from them as well, can't say either way about quality since I haven't opened the box yet.

Fav is still Famous at the moment but I'm gonna check on a few others I saw posted.

Why is there always someone wanting some drama?

Just curious...whats the reason to stay away from JR's?
