Just got a 5-pack of these from Famous. They are in the humi taking a nice little rest, but I'll probably smoke one this weekend sometime. I'll let you know what I think.
Cheers!

Is any cigar worth more than $10? It comes down to personal preference. MB III is a complex, powerful and well-made cigar that looks and feels "super-premium" so I smoke them from time to time. Is it four times as good as an Oliva Serie G? I don't think so. But is it on the same playing field as VSG, Opus, Cien Anos, etc.? I think so. The Olivas put out some remarkable products.
BTW -- If you get a chance to try a MB I, don't miss it. I don't know if the MB I was something really special or if it has just aged really well but with MBI the Olivas knocked it out of the park, especially consdiering this was their first stab at a high priced smoke.
Thanks for the info guys. I searched high and low for a box of MB1 but no luck. I did however score a box of MB2 Robusto.
Had one last evening, along with my Pepsi challenge between Glenlivet and JW Black. I really enjoyed the smoke, maybe more then the VSG I smoked on friday night....I would like to get my paws on some MB1s.
I smoked the MB3 yesterday and was very very happy! Went to a BBQ contest here in DC and smoked it while walking around and tasting some good pork products. Burn was even and the draw was perfect. Produced lots of very flavorful smoke that went really well with the strong flavors of BBQ sauce, hot sauce and smoked meats.
It may be a little pricey, but I'd definitely buy more of these (assuming the other four I have smoke just a beautifully.)
Cheers!
