I wouldn't say its bad, but unique? I've had a few now, and LOVE them. But the smell doesn't rock my world, kind of like molasses? I haven't had the opportunity to smell a full box, only singles.

How do your Anejos smell?

I've got a few and they definitely have a sweetness to them, especially when lit. I always pick up a "sweet red wine" type of taste/smell. They are definitely unique I like them a lot, I imagine with a few years on them they will be incredible.

I expect curing the wrapper tobacco in cognac barrels for 6-8 months has caused that.

Licorice/Jager at cold and for the first few puffs. My recent Anejo experience was not all that. I am waiting awhile before diving back in with a Shark I have resting.

Same here, I didn't really care for the Anejo or Opus lines. I haven't had too many, so I'm not writing them off completely. It seems like they're a little too strong for me and lacks the finesse of a fine CC. I'll have to wait a few more month to revisit them.

I love the smell also. It's probably why I went nuts buying them last year Wink

That won't work Bo i have seen this before.
You have developed a fondness for Cubans you will never switch back.
Trust me i have seen this before.
Many switch from N.C to C.C i have never seen any switch from C.C to N.C.
It is an affliction that troubles many i know i am one of the afflicted.

As a guy who primarily smokes CC's I do enjoy NC's as well. I like to smoke cigars from Pepin, Tatuaje, Padilla, Torano and Fuente. If push came to shove and you had to choose one way or another, it would be an easy choice though.

But why switch either way? Can't one smoke both? There are some awesome sticks among NCs - I've been smoking many of them lately although I generally prefer CC.
