I was at a Local Smoke shop this evening. I wanted a PC as I wanted something quick for the ride home from work. I picked up A Tatuaje (Spell Check) PC. I can now see what all the fuss is about. At 5 bucks a stick, this little guy never let up in the flavor department. The construction was a 10 out of a 10. I will be going back tomorrow and buying a box.

Great to hear another good review...I just ordered a box of Noellas and a box of Nobles. Will be peaking out the window daily, looking for the UPS guy.
Tried one last night, the piramide. It was rolled so tight I coudn't draw a breath through it. The next one, a "cojuno", smoked well, but the flavors were a bit harsh and one dimensional. A fairly strong cigar, but with absolutely no finesse or complexity.
I bought a sampler pack of these from Holts and I won't be buying any of these in the future.
I bought a tatuaje with a red label from a local B@M that i just found out about and it was a dog rocket. I didnot know I had gotten the wrong thing until after I smoked it. I am looking forward to trying the original.

Punched: I found some in the Cigar shop in Cross Creek(towards Wesley Chapel). They were the red labels though, and that store is usually overpriced for all cigars. They think that since they have a massive selection they can overprice.
Yes, the whites (Serie P) are mixed filler. I'm not sure what the deal is -- nobody who carries the other two Tatuaje lines seems to have them in stock and my local tobacconist isn't sure what the deal is as far as availability. Famous Smoke has them listed on their site but they are sold out.
Holt's has the other two long-filler lines and my local B&M carries a few sizes of each as well.
This is a cigar I haven't tried, I have to be honest, I haven't had a lot of time looking for them. Today while out shopping the Mrs. I went in to the local cigar shop, and none to be found. I did look and I asked about them, I was told they didn't carry them. Well when I do happen to come across them, I will buy a couple to see what the fuss is all about.
Where I live, we have 5-6 decent cigar shops. One carries Tatuaje. The B&M claims to be the "exclusive" dealer in town. Maybe it's a marketing thing with Tatuaje to limit the number of outlets, thus building up an exclusiveness or rarity thing. Like Opus X or Davidoff, amoung others. I have tried them and like the brown label and the red label, but not the white label. Tatuaje is too proud of their cigars. I can buy cheaper smokes of equal or better quality.

Depends on your perception of quality. My feeling is that the care lavished on Tatuaje really only becomes apparent to the really critical eye. For example, the Cuban-style triple cap -- there's a reason why 99% of non-Cuban makers don't use it and that's because it's a time-consuming detail most smokers won't even notice. I also can't help admire the selection of virtually flawless Colorado hued wrapper leaf.
Some people don't like how the cigar tastes, and then the bells and whistles of Don Pepin Garcia's craftmanship don't matter at all, but in absolute terms, I can't think of any other non-Cuban cigars that come anywhere close to Tatuaje strictly in terms of quality -- except other DPG-produced brands like Padilla 8&11, 1932, etc.

I really doubt that Pete is trying to limit the number of stores that carry his line. From talking to him, I think he would be ecstatic if every cigar shop in America carried his cigars.
