Now I wish I had paid attention to the names of shops that I visited in fall of 2003. I walked from the Convention Center area over to Robson and Georgia Streets to do some shopping. I collected a few Cubans (Partagas - expensive) and NC's. Then I spent a great rainy afternoon burning a few up, while I checked out the city. I did not buy cigars in Gastown, but had some great food. I finished the last of the Cubans on the outside deck of the convention center during a black tie banquet.

Have good time there!

try http://www.vancouvercigar.com
They have a storefront and you will need to take a cab from the convention center area. Nice selection and nice people. You can also sit down there and enjoy a smoke.
There's also another place but I can't remember the name of it. It is run by some beautiful women and it's like you're smoking in Cuba. It's near the Salavator Ferragamo Store and the Four Season Hotel.
Just be ready for some sticker shock. Plan to spend $25 to $30 usd for a nice Bolivar

Just a heads up The http://www.vancouvercigar.com Vancouver Cigar Company has moved. They reduced the store size and their prices by about 20% are now on Beatty street. (Next door to BC Place)
