well tried me another fuente sun grown churchill...

sat me down in a nice law chair and prepared for the worst...

nothing happened...didnt get sick - didnt pass out - nothing but a hour of relaxation...

did find the burn was a bit inconsistent -
but i guess well just chalk up my last experience to just being one of those things...

im thinking now - that a combination of too much heat and smoking gave be a bit of heat stroke / dehydration...

You'll find that sometimes happens with the sungrown wrapper. Sungrown wrappers have a lot of natural oils so they can be a little tough to keep them burning. Add in a little extra humidity and you could end up having to re-light more than you might otherwise do so.

Some of us here keep what's called a "dry box" -- a humidor or old cigar box without humidification -- and move our cigars to it a day or two prior to smoking. It helps the cigar sweat out any excess humidity, especially in the wrapper, that might cause burn and other issues. I smoke a fair amount of sungrowns and this almost always does the trick.

basel - glad to hear that things went more succesfully this time around!
I have not tried the sungrowns: thanks to both of you for the "voice of experience" advice. I may have never thought of the dry box you suggest EC.
