I pulled the ring off a Serie 26 #1 and just slipped on a loose finger, while I enjoyed the stick. OUtstanding smoke and will have to order a box, but here's the deal.

when I was finished with the smoke, I went to pull off the paper ring from my finger, and the only thing left on the label was the serial number of the stick and the signatures.

The whole PADRON, Serie 26 had faded away?

I was sober, so I am not making this up. These were bought at a local, reputable B&M, so I am not questioning the authenticity, just curious what the deal was with the label?

They are actually two bands. The Padron band probably fell off your finger.
Or, do you have both of the bands?

It's not a traditional double-banded cigar where you can see both bands. Instead, the "Padron" band covers about 75% of the other band, leaving only the serial number exposed at the bottom.
