I bought one last week while meeting him in Addison, Texas but I haven't fired it up yet, I will post s review as soon as I do. But the construction of the cigars looks solid, I talked to a couple of guys who smoked the lancero and they both said it was very good.
"Is that a Churchill cigar in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
I was just googling this new cigar from RP and found out that he was in Addison. I would have been there if I had known about it. I have never been to that particular shop. Is it a good store? I usually stop in the shop that is on Addison Rd.
OK, I just finished the Lancero which lasted about 90 minutes. Let me preface by saying this is a new cigar on the shelf and I just purchased it yesterday so really no humi time. I think this cigar is a little young to smoke right now. The first inch packed a little punch but then the next 40% or so was relatively bland. Moderate tobacco flavor with really no complexity. The cigar picked up in flavor and strength on the last half though nothing really stood out. On the positive side it burned and drawed perfectly. In my opinion the Pepin Cuban Classic special edition Lancero which I smoked a few times in the last week is far superior. It also has a similiar price point so its no brainer to go with the Pepin right now. However as I said I think with some good rest this cigar will be more consistent throughout and probably produce some stronger and more complex flavors over time. I gave it a 90 for now but will pick up a few more for some long rest.

Brian Drewry this store is much better than the Addison one, more personal, the people are nicer. They actually have a event tomorrow for 4th of July you should come and check it out. The boss of the place is a really nice guy, both he and his wife. They have a very good selection with very good prices, though not as good a selection as Addison I'd rather spend 50 cents more per cigar there than I ever would at Addison.

I smoked the toro this weekend. Earthy, sweet, straightforward. Not bad but certainly nothing special. Nice packaging, though. For someone looking for an easygoing smoke, it could be just the ticket, it just didn't do it for me.
I bought one yesterday on a RP binge, which included the Olde World Reserve, 1990, and 1992 Vintage smokes as well. I will post my thoughts after I enjoy it.
