I've had at least a dozen OWR Corojos (I can't afford more of them unless I hit the Lottery)

They have all been excellant, but they have all spent at least a month in the humidor before smoking them. I have a "Decade" torpedo sitting in there now just waiting for Day #30 Smile

Lucky, I still need the address your friend is staying at so I can get those cigars out to you. They won't ship until next week as I am on a business trip right now.

Mom: "Twenty dollars for a cigar?!?! Why don't you just set fire to a $20 bill?"

Response: "Get a $20 bill to taste like a Davidoff and I'll light my entire paycheck on fire!"

I just finished my first RP Summer blend that was gifted to me at a RP event about a month ago. The cigar had a beautiful wrapper, the flavor however, was less stellar. I had the big size 6X56 I think. It was a very straight forward earthy sweetness throughout the smoke with that weird RP aftertaste. I enjoyed the first 3 inches or so of it but got bored and put it out. Not worth the 8 dollar retail price IMO. I think the olde world reserve is much better

To the OP: Please give the OWR another go. I went so far as to declare on this forum about 6 weeks ago that it is my new alltime favorite. Rocky Patel and his entire line is wonderful: The 1990 & 1992 Vintage, Decade, Edge, and OWR are all marvelous smokes. RP is on a roll right now.

I like OWR and both RP 90 and 92. If you don't like yours and want to get rid of them, you can send them my way!! Really just kiddin. I like both. Sometimes an OWR will have an off taste but 1 out of 15 or 20 ain't bad.

I had my first RP OWR corojo last night. This is the first RP to have an uneven burn for me. The flavor seemed to come and go between metallic and woody. Very bad burn and lost its mojo at around half. It was sitting for about two weeks so Ill give them another two weeks.

I just finished up a box of the Vintage 1992's that I've had for almost a year and I really liked them. Full flavoured and smooth; the consistency was fantastic and the taste of each cig did not change as I smoked it.

A friend brought me back an Olde World Reserve a few weeks ago and it tasted nothing like the 1992's. I had to put it out just over halfway - I wasn't impressed with the first half either but it turned very harsh and bitter and I couldn't finish it.

I bought two of the OWR,
smoked one and gave the other one to
my brother in-law,didn't care for it,
the 92's on the other hand
along with the 90's are a good go to
smoke at any point of the day.

Has anyone confirmed that the 2nds being sold on CI are legit? Because man, my wallet could use a break like that.

absolutely legit my man...only bummer is that they dont have OWR in the Robusto...only the toro or torp...I prefer the thicker ring gauge of the robusto...but still a hell of a deal.

My local B&M carry the full line of RP I prefer the Decade. The 92 is better than the 90. It is a good stick to smoke on the way to work. There has been some mention that RP is in decline. Would like to hear from anyone else. I like the line as is today. How has it changed?

I just broke one out today (OWR Maduro). It had been sitting in my humidor for almost a year. It was one of the 'Maduro' sampler packs I got from ... Thompson I think.

Boy, it's great. The only down side is it doesn't keep it's burn towards the latter half unless you keep on it. But other than that, good draw, consistent flavor, stronger towards the end and more complex.

I had just my 1st RP Vintage 1990. Nice smoke but I can't compare it to the OWR as I have not tried that yet. It's a long cigar but the flavour remained consistant almost throughout the entire length of the cigar, except perhaps the last 1 inch when it because bitter. The draw was good and smoke a plenty. I would rate it as a very good smoke. I got them after I checked out of CI for $3.5 a piece... that's value!
