Good day,

I was in Peru last June and picked up a few local brands. One I had the other night was called Terapurto or something like that. I saved the band.

Has anyone had much experience with Peruvian cigars. I aged this one a full year next to some OpusX and various single Cubans with no cellophane on it. It was a wonderful cigar, great draw and it came in a neat little coffin that was hand-painted with a bird on it. The band itself featured a likeness of Peruvian gold funeral mask.

For the few sols that it cost it was a fantastic buy.

Anybody have any locates in the US?

If you can get a hold of him ask for a bundle of Peruvian....I think I paid 6 or 9 sols for this cigar....but there were others...at those prices it's worth taking a gamble.....

My cigar was fantastic.

The cigars you tried are from Tarapoto. The companie's name is Tabacalera del Oriente and the one you smoked is the Sipan. There are two others made by them, Miguel Grau and San Martin.

Sipan is the smoothest and San Martin the strongest of them; Grau is intermediate.

I just came back from Peru where I buyed some of the three. They are really great.

For the San Martin cigars, there is a Shop in the US where you can order.

However, if you have a buddy travelling to Peru, let him get the cigars for you. In Lima, or even Tarapoto, you can get them cheaper than at this internet shop.

BTW, good choice!
