I got a box of the 464 habano torps.

after a few days in the humi I fired one up .It is what I would expect from Oliva. Great construction , good smoke volume, and pretty good taste. I would say that they are young sticks, and need some time, which is why I bought a box, but I just have to say I like the look of them, the "phatness" of them, and the fact that they are so enormous, but yet burn well.

they were relatively cheap to ~ 80 bucks for a box.

And for me, the one I smoked lasted a good hour. These are not "short sticks"

I use a regular double guillotine to clip them (I think it's from Colibri). Even 64+ RG easily fits in along the whole length, and to clip the head you don't even need that large.

That's why I got the torpedos. I didn't have a cutter that could handle the others.

my local showed me these and they look very well made. he told me the rep said you could stand the cigar on it's ash end and it will stand up without the ash crumbling, he thought "no way", but he said he tried it and was successful. the price was good, I'm going to pick one up and give it a try, I've been enjoying cameroon smokes lately.

try a punch cutter, either that or get a torp like someone mentioned.

good thread!

I like the Cameroon a lot. I'm going to try the Habano next.

It's a chocolate granola bar."

Think I read the blend is the same on all of them so the body is pretty much the same, just different flavor and strength from the wrappers.

I'll take 'em off your hands. Big Grin
