When they came out, I bought a box of each wrapper type, and honestly haven't smoked that many of them. I think they are decent smokes, but nothing special. I don't particularly like CT wrappers, but the NUB Ct. is more flavorful than most I have tried. Think I read the blend is the same on all of them so the body is pretty much the same, just different flavor and strength from the wrappers.

How much do these Nubs typically cost? I see that my local B&M stocks them, and I might want to check them out. Do they offer any kind of sampler pack (i.e. one of each kind of wrapper, or something along those lines)?

Thanks,
Frank

I was just through there a month ago on my way to Delaware. Wish I would have known you now have cigars. Do you have a walk-in or something smaller? They used to have them at Angeli's too, but I think they now only have a couple of brands in the gas station. Are you from the area? Small world.

I smoked the cameroon NUB last night. After reading some other reviews and talking to guys in the shop, i tried one. I am glad I did. I think I will compare it to the Habano tonight but I would highly recommend the Cameroon. Great flavor and body. More complex than I would have thought. I almost burned my fingers.

I don't know what you guys are smoking, but I found the nub to be very one dimensional and did not enjoy it at all. Normally with something of that ring gage I would expect a little more complexity. To each his own.

We have a nice armoire humidor and a pretty small but good selection of good cigars, I hand picked them myself.

I would rather have a 1926 or a VSG in my hand but for the price, the NUB is a good cigar. Smoke another with an open mind. I am not a NUB fanatic but keep price in mind. I think I will have one right now.

My B&M is getting the NUBs in next week. I'm gonna pick up a bunch and try them. I'm a bit skeptical about the ring gauge, as most big rings I've had seem to be a bit boring overall.I hope these don't disappoint.

the habano is the best imo, but i dont really care for the huge size. i just picked up a box of the 358 habano, and right away it smoked great, but a little spicey, it should calm down after awhile.

I had the same kind of problem. It might have been b/c I bought it from the B&M and only had it in the humi one day. I thought it tasted pretty good (Habano), but about half way down it started having some burn issues...and the taste got a little repetative. I felt like trying them to see what all the hype was about. They are a good smoke, and a nice idea, but I think I will stick with my regular rotation.

I've looked over Nubs in the past, mainly for their shape, but after reading the good word about them here, I'll have to give 'em a shot. I talked to a guy at a B&M who said they are made in conjunction with Oliva cigars...?

Seems to be consensus that Habana is best, then Cameroon, then Conn.?

I think they're all very good. Habana is best. Connecticut is very smooth. They are an Oliva product. The hype on the burn-time is over the top, though. I haven't had a churchill that only lasted 45 minutes Wink

Wish I could get my hands on some of these - they do look good.

I have smoked several Conn and Habanos and enjoyed them both. The Conn is very smooth but, I really liked the Habano the best of the three. I didn't like the Cameroon but, so far have found very few Cams I do like...so probably can't trust me on that.

They have all burned very smoothly and held their ash better than anything else I've smoked.

I have found them at my local cigar shop and attended a NUB event locally. Bought a couple boxes there and found the quality/condition to be the same as local purchase.

I tried the cameroon today and it was a little disappointing. The burn was not consistent and although the taste was not bad it did not live up to what I was expecting from all the hype. I'd like to try the habano with hopes it will have a deeper and better balanced flavor. The big ring size will take a little getting used to.

I started smoking the Habano with my Starbucks and it has turned into a Sunday morning tradition. Great way to start the day and read the paper.

So after reading all the stuff I tried my first NUB this morning, too. Went with the 358 Habano, alright smoke. I want to try the other too as well, but I keep hearing bad stuff about the Conn. Eh, who knows, I'll give her a whirl. The size will take getting used to, but the mini-torp size seems alright.

I think all three lines are nice smokes. Maybe not too complex, maybe sizes are not to everyone's liking, maybe some don't like the hype they created, but the fact is Nubs are made of quality tobacco, are well rolled and many people including myself enjoyed smoking them.
