I have used dicount sites where I'll get a five pack fairly cheap, half the time they come with damaged wrappers and/or are cracked or are dry etc. Is anyone out there experiencing this with other sites that offer dicounted cigars? I'd rather pay less but I don't know if it's worth the juggle. I have companies that were a little more pricey and havn't had a problem. Is anyone else noticing a difference between sites products? I think quality is worth the price if it has to come down to that. How about you guys?

well if your gettin dry and cracked cigars for cheap, your still wasting $$ even if theyre discounted since you can't usually smoke a cracked cigar unless if its at the foot. Try cigarbid.com, i've never dealt with them but guys here have said that the stuff comes in good condition......

also, whats the nameof the place sellin garbage sticks, id kinda like to know

actually cigarbid.com is who I was talking about. It's not that they're bad, it just seems a little inconsistant at times. I tried cigar.com when someone referred me and found them a little more expensive but it was a good experience dealing with them. Also they can almost find anything you want. I don't have much experience with other sites, but ones that offer discounts make me weary.

I dont really know of other discount places to recommend. call me a snob or just lazy, but I usually don't shop around too much for cigars....If a box is 130 online and 145 in a shop, ill just grab them at my local store and not have to bother.

For five packs and the like why not check out the stores around where U live? Find the most reasonable place then handpick what you want so you don't have to worry about gettin cracked, dry, stuff in the mail

I'm rather new at this, so obviously I'm not as experienced as some of the others.

So far I have ordered cigars 3 times on line and was pleased 2 out of the 3 times with the merchandise I received.

Like I said I'm not that experienced but so far I've been happiest with the "Famous Smoke Shop" from Easton, Pa......I ordered a Sampler Pack and a couple of single smokes and I received them in one day via UPS Regular Ground Service....they were in excellent condition!

I ordered a 5 Pack Sampler from another dealer in PA and I wasn't very pleased at all. Two out of the 5 were cracked a bit.

I don't think it would be fair on my part to name them because of one bad experience.......for all I know they could be a very reputable company, but because of the one bad experience I don't think I'm going to order from them again.

Where you at Stogie? You know all the good shops! I would recommend

atlantic
bonitas
holts
JR
serious cigars

I have bought from all these places in the past and probably more but these stand out as being particularly reliable. Cigarbid has sent me dried out cigars twice. I don't shop there anymore.

Hard work may pay off eventually but laziness always pays off now.

I have ordered several times from Cigarbid and never had a problem. I haven't ordered from them lately, basically because I don't think their prices are always the best. If you are looking to get something that others like, you might as well forget it - people will bid the prices up over retail!

Now we know that you bought them at Cigarbid, but we don't know what you got. Cigarbid sells a lot of crap. If you ordered crap to begin with, you can't expect them to be any better by the time they get to you. Wink So, what are the cigars you actually ordered? If they were premium cigars, I would send them back. Cigarbid generally has good customer service. Give them a call or send them an e-mail. I am sure they will take care of you.

cigarbids cigars are stored in a trailer seperate from the CI stuff. I have had problems with stuff I got from them a number of times. Most of the time people over bid on the stuff you would really want to smoke anyway. You can get the junk for a good price, but I want to enjoy my cigars so why buy junk.

Jrcigars.com has 5 packs at good prices. I've bought many of them in the past, and continue to do so. Good prices, too! Wink

exactly Darien. I brought in a bundle of Consuegra #72 Maduro's from JR's that I had never tried before and they are deffinetly hit or miss. So far the smokes range from pretty good, to cracked so bad that when I try and light them, the draw is so loose that I see smoke rising throughout the length of the cigar and not into my mouth. But, at $1.00/stick, having even 3 of 5 being decent cigars is worth it...

Again, you get what you pay for....

I disagree; you don't always get what you pay for. Buying expensive cigars doesn't guarantee they'll be great, and there are tons of bargains to be had out there.
Btw, I've won probably 10-15 auctions on c-bid & have never had a damaged cigar, save for about 2 or 3 from a wheel of 50 Don Asa robustos I got from them last year. Other than that, the cigars have been undamaged & well-humidified.

if you're happy with Famous (as am I) then why not try out their auction section? Great deals on lots of 5 packs. Cheers!

just my .02 worth. I use JR almost exclusively, and have NEVER once had a problem. I use Mikes some too. Prices aren't TOO much different, but JR has a much bigger selection of 5 packs. ALWAYS in great shape when they come....and they come VERY quickly, so they don't spend a lot of time in transit to dry out. NEVER pass up a free cigar
