Well I have been doing alot of reading about these and they sound like a good cigar. I found this offer this morning and was wondering if some of you guys who have tried the RPs before would consider this a good deal?http://www.cigarsinternational.com/html/spec_rpevent.asp

while they are probably a bit over-marketed and over-hyped, they are pretty good cigars. it seems rockey patel and gurkah have some kind of competition going over hype and shelf space in the stores. they both do some beautiful packaging though. those rocky patel old world reserves look good enough to eat.
i'd say it's a really good deal. i would be snapping it up myself, but i'm a bit short right now (as i always am when an especially nice ci deal comes along). i've had good experiences with several ci specials. i bought a 12 padilla deal for 21 bucks recently, they showed up yesterday and are great.

I like all the cigars in this deal but the Indian Tabac. I bought a samplier similar to this a while back and it was good except for the Indian Tabac.

Try a few Rocky Patel "The Edge" cigars. You'll see that it's not all hype...these are in your face spicy full flavor. Almost too strong.

Hence, Rocky Patel also came out with an "Edge Lite", which is a little more subtle and tastes great.

Also, the Vintage 1990 and 1992 cigars are excellent.

As for Rocky Patel and Gurkha ... Rocky Patel cigars are relatively consistent and high quality. Gurkhas can be good, fair or downright awful (lots of them are awful).
