What a great smoke, and the low price! And I’m usually biased against anything that isn’t made of mostly Nicaraguan tobacco.
The aroma from this cigar reminds me of some pipe tobacco I smoked many years ago, but I just couldn’t pin it down. Been smoking a few different sizes and finally settled on ordering a box of the LADC Cetros (6.5x44 Lonsdales). I have too many short fat cigars in my collection.
For those who don’t know, the LADC is made by Fuente for Ashton—no wonder they're good.

Steve I really like them also I got around 10 fatties left. They burn great and last forever. When I first bought a few and felt them I thought I had a big chunk of beef jerkey

Steve. I posted in another thread about LADC in reply to your post. I've found only Petit Robusto here & it's in short supply. The B&M's tell me that it just doesn't sell & they're reluctant to order it. I'm planning a trip to the States in a few weeks I've been figuring out what to buy either because it's too expensive or not available here. I've been wondering about other LADC vitolas & what you'd recommend I try. Thanks in advance for the tips.

For years I have praised the La Aroma de Cuba Corona Minor. With some age they are an amazing smoke and even better value. When on just right, about 2/3s thru the flavor profile takes a gorgeous turn. Pair it with Kahlua infused coffee on a weekend morning and there's hardly a better way to start the day, especially while reading a recap of a Red Sox win over the Yankees in the Boston Globe. Oh crap, tomorrow's only Friday! I'll have to read it online at work with regular coffee...

Completely agree with you guys. La Aroma de Cuba makes very good cigars, they may not be top notch if you compare them to Padron Annis or OpusX but they are still great cigars especially given the price. I haven't had one in a while and now I want to go out and buy some

The Pyramid, Cetros, Corona, Corona Minor, and Robusto. In other words, I haven't smoked a size thats bad. I just happen to like the Cetros (Lonsdale) because I own mostly short, fat cigars and I want a change.
I have a half dozen or so Robustos that some vendor sent me as a freebie some while back. I'll have to dig one out and try it.

Yesterday, my box of La Aroma de Cuba Cetros arrived and I couldn’t help myself to try one right away. A truly fantastic smoke which has a very similar flavor profile to an Ashton VSG (at a price of ~$3.50 per stick). The Lonsdale size has become one of my favorites for all my smokes.
I am in the middle of a box of churchills and pulled a couple to smoke after the stl cardinal game we went to. had some newcastle brown ale at one of my favorite irish bars downtown . It was one of the best cigars i have had in my life. unbelievable taste.

What I've found with the few that I've encountered with a bad draw, just poke a toothpick through the first half-inch of the head a few times and they open right up. It seems a few are rolled a little tight right at the head with the rest of the cigar is ok.
