This topic comes up alot on the CC board. With the weather getting colder, what is a good, fairly priced fuller bodied NC PC. I looked into PAN 64 Principes, but they seem pricey for a small smoke. I usually go for the short NC Punch for a quickie NC. Any suggestions?

I like the Puro Indios #4, and I had a small corona from Maria Gurara the other day that wasn't bad. I also enjoy the JDN Antonio Machito (box of 50 for about $110.

Piss on me once ...that's your fault...Piss on me twice that's my fault....

Davidoff MB PC. Fantastic. Lots of kick in it for a small smoke.

Well, spent the money on a D'off MB PC...smoked it tonight...it was quite strong, good, but not worth the $10 I spent on it (just my opinion). Got a Padron 64 Principe for proper peer review. Will try that later this week. Read a review on Padron Londres ($2-3 per...now were talking) that was praise worthy. Always liked their larger Ks but not the corona size for some reason. May try that tomarrow if I can find it to see if I change my mind.

You can NEVER go wrong with a PAM Principe! but for a short smoke I like Hemmingway Shortstory or Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino Robusto No. 7, but again im on a Cuesta-Rey kick.

Hemming way short story is a nice medium-full smoke. Another I have not tried but plan on getting a box of later is the JDN Antano Machito. If its anything like its bigger brothers it ought to be the ShiZnit! It sounds like the Ultimate PC! Wink My experience in PC's are limited, I always smoke Robustos, Torps, and a churchill mixed in every know and then. I'm just starting to get into this category because its easier to sneak one in at work. I got a box of Padron Londres on the way, not full bodied but like the regular padron line.

Don't know if it’s a PC or not but my vote goes to the Fuente Cuban Corona, especially the maduro. Good smoke when time is short.

If you are looking for a substitute for something like a RASCC, shorts, or Boli pc, you are not going to find it.

Seems like you are mostly a CC smoker from some of the posts i have seen of yours. Although this might piss off some people here...my advice would be to get a solid smaller NC, but not PC small, and just intend on tossing it when you get cold. NC PCs will just aggravate you...I've tried ALOT, just like you are about to do, and have had no luck at all. In the end I decided NC smokes like robusto or thinner guage did the job for cold weather, as long as i was willing to not finish it.

You could also go with some of the CC cigarillos in mini or club sizes or Piedras. They come out to much less than a buck each if money is your concern.

Sobek...you read me well...Boli PC inventory is getting low, and at $110ish a box before shipping, spending $10 a smoke to replace them is silly. Rather buy a box of PAN 64 or PSD4. Thought I'd give the NC PCs a try since I'm always willing to explore new things and discovery is part of the fun. I'm not a CC snob as there are real good NC smokes on market (Padron, JDN, Avo, Cubita, HDM, Punch)that can scratch my itch. I think I will try some of the NC PCs over the next few weeks just to see for myself and honor the helpful advice these posters have offered.

Smoked PAM 64 Principe...by far best NC PC I've had yet...still trying for something less expensive.

Fo' the money, i've always been a fan of the Padron Londres Maduro. Same flavor profile as the K series. The JDN Machito's are sweet, too.

Surprized no one has mentioned the ERDM cafe noir, fantastic little cigar that carries a big cigar flavor profile.

Had my first Hemmingway Short Story tonight. Quite tasty. Reminded me of a Cubita SMS perfecto, but with more oomph. Both legitimate contenders for short smoke regulars. Prefer the PAM 64 Principe, but at half the cost the SS may be the way to go en masse with some PAM mixed in. The perfecto seems to be a perfect way to get concentrated flavor in a short size. Guess that's how it got its name.

10 bucks each? Something is really wrong with the math or your shipping costs.

It seems short stories or Principes are of equal or greater cost than boli PCs. Even a box of mag46 is less than a box of principes. Confused
