Well, I was one of those that got an order in right after the cutoff. My order will be pending if they get more. Dan says i have a "pretty decent chance" that I'll get one. *fingers crossed*

New havana likely only got a dozen, or maybe two dozen, jars. The 1000 jars is the ENTIRE production, not just for New Havana. They have been alloted to very few retailers.
If you get a jar with the 19 blacks in them, you have 1 of 1000 jars.
I smoked one on Sunday morning. Fantastic cigar...very deep, rich flavors. Rumor had it that this was supposed to pack a real wallop but I found it to be more medium-bodied.
Hey Bo I smoked my sample pack & need to reorder soon. Just finished an Illusione 888 tonight. That also finished that sampler. I'd better get busy ordering. Good to see you back E-cord. I haven't seen you post much lately!

Was at my local smoke shop about 2 months ago, Pete Johnson was visiting and fortunately I got a promo pack of 3 robustos of the Black, incredible. This Friday ("Black Friday") my local shop is having a Tatuaje Black event ("Black Friday"), all the jars are sold but they have singles (with hot dogs/ beer) Should be a good time.
Oh, and I agree, one of the hottest NC smokes out there.

Originally posted by Boknows: I'm wondering why there are 19 cigars per can. It seems like an odd number. Does anyone know if there is a significance in the number?
My guess is that's exactly how many fit in that container.
Im always too late in getting one of these...someday

For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. Did you get yours yet? Mine says delivered on Saturday. I was out of town and neither of my roommates say they received anything. I'm starting to get worried....
Yes I did! Got em yesterday. I like how they had not one, but two humipaks in them to keep em fresh. I'll post pics when I get home from work today. Bo, i hope you get yours soon. I wonder if your roomies are playing pranks!

Well, as promised here are some pics of the Tatuaje Black canister i received the other day. If you notice, the cigars have a pigtail at the head and a covered foot. The cigars aren't the prettiest in the world but smell great! The canister itself is made of heavy porcelain and sports a humidification device under the lid. The bottom of the canister reads, "19/Pete Johnson's/Private Reserve" with his signature underneath.
