It's going to be okay.
STEP 1: Wash your mouth out with the strongest mouthwash you can find.
STEP 2: Brush. Floss. Repeat.
STEP 3: Shower and wash your hair.
STEP 4: Put on fresh clothes.
STEP 5: Place the clothes you wore when smoking the Acid into the nearest incinerator.
STEP 6: Report to me in Scranton, Pennsylvania for re-education.

You're talking about Fuente Anejo. It's cognac barrels. And if you think there's no diference between an Anejo and an Acid One, either you haven't smoked the two (and are therefore talking out of your you-know-what) or you need to see an ear, nose and throat specialist pronto. |

I didn't mean to do this but I did...
A couple of weeks ago, I was out of town and happened to stop at a cigar shop while the wife went to the store next door. When I walked in, I could tell something was going on but didn't really pay attention. As I browsed the selection, a fella stops me and asks "do you know about our line?" Puzzled, I looked at him and asked, "which one?" He replied "Acid." I replied, "Yeh, I've heard of them but I'm not into flavored cigars." He asked, "would you like to try one?" I replied, "Uh, no thanks, I prefer real cigars." The guy was stunned.
I continued looking, picked up a few DPGs and Tatuajes, paid and left.
When I met up with the wife back at the car, she asked, pointing at the marquee on the store's sign "what's going on in there?"
I looked at the sign..."ACID CIGARS NIGHT...WELCOME ACID REPS".
I had just "insulted" an Acid rep over his product. I didn't mean to do it...it just happened. But, truth hurts I guess...

Never smoked an Acid. Talking about the process, ie the use of flavoring agents, not the quality of the cigar.

Oh c'mon what's the harm? Trying things is one of the reasons I love cigars to begin with. If they rot then fine. Personally I'm betting that if enough people like them they should earn their own classification (new one) and leave it at that.

I like my cigars cigar-flavored. So sue me.
To me, if you need a cigar that's "infused" with a bunch of aromas and flavors that are not of tobacco, then you don't like the flavor and aroma of tobacco in the first place.
Acid guys smoke Acid. Cigar guys smoke cigars. I know only a handful of people who smoke both, and of those, it's an occasional flavored cigar at best.

Acid would not have been able to stay in business as long as it has if everyone was as closed minded as you guys. Although I do not smoke infused cigars, back when I was in college the cigar for me was the Wolf Bros Rum Crook which was dipped in rum. When you smoked one there were blobs of nicotine at the head that you had to blot away with a tissue (these are machine made with prepunched holes). I have also tried (courtesy of Bloofington) a cigar flavored with Celtic Cognac. The cigar was putrid, but my wife did comment that it smelled nice. Back in 1998 someone gave me a Lars Tetans Medium Grass. Smelled like Aqua Velva, tasted like a dog turd (what I imagine a dog turd would taste like as I have never actually tasted a dog turd) and lasted all of one puff. You know what I like to smoke (now that I earn a good salary) but I have to agree, to each his own.

I absolutely love the Carlos Torano Decadencia, which is infused with a port wine, and I don't despise the Maker's Mark line as an occasional golf course smoke (Though a Fuente Hemingway and a glass of Maker's is inifinitely better...) I've yet to try a Fuente Anejo (Which as I understand is aged in cognac barrels, NOT infused...correct me if I'm wrong) but based on my love for Fuente products, I'm looking forward to that. Now, that said, in my experience, every other flavored/infused/dipped/ruined cigar I've had was an absolute turd. Acid is what I imagine I'd need to be tripping on to enjoy one of those dog bombs. Add to that the little yuppie skidmarks that I have to endure that smoke them around here give me a healthy dose of disgust for Acid. Fair? Probably not. Too bad. But, hey, I guess someone has to like them...
