do you really need this propelyne glycol stuff in your humidifier?

no, you can use distilled h2o. the propelyne glycol will keep your humidity stable (not to high not to low) but may leave a taste. dont use tap or spring water the minerals and bacteria could grow mold

MaduroMike, try using the "find" feature. There's all kinds of alternatives to propelyne glycol for humidification. 100% distilled water is an option, also check out the humidfication beads, either heartfelt beads ($$$) or kitty litter pearls.
