Any feelings on Nicaraguan cigars are becoming increasingly popular and highly rated?

Yummmmmmmmm is the only word I can think of. I love a good Nicaraguan cigar. This is quickly becoming my favorite tobacco.

Although there are good and bad tobaccos in every country, on a whole, I much prefer Nic leaf to anything out there. To me, nothing compares to the smooth, creamy smoking experience of a fine Nicaraguan cigar. Among my favorites are the Padron Anniversary ‘64s and the Rocky Patel vintage ‘90 & ‘92s. If you are looking for a less expensive experience, try the Mayorga torpedoes.

I agree completely. Padron cigars were my first intro into Nic tobacco. Ever since then I am a HUGE fan of these.

For my money, Nicaraguans like the Padron 64's, particularly in the natural wrapper, are the best smokes being made today, period. Obviously, taste is subjective, but there's a reason these are so consistently ranked among the best.

Is it just my palate or does Nicaraguan tobacco, and not just in the Padrons, have a complexity and mellowness no other tobacco can match?
